Alright, Veggies are in. Toddler consumed minimal dirt. Call that a win.

There's a very quick gap of them putting everything in their mouths to "I'm not eating that food you have lovingly prepared". Sometimes they do overlap.
Bit of dirt builds a healthy immune system.
Mickey wishes you all a really awesome Monday!
Oh Monday you're so fine
You're so fine
You blow my mind
Hey Monday
A particular ball of floof doesn't wanna play today.
I just saw a crested pigeon. I couldn't think what it was called so I googled "pigeon with a mohawk". I also saw a fairy wren the other day too. Beautiful birds.
nice day outside, got some errands and then I might have a look at some art stuff/paper/books :)
might look at some new printers too , the last one just wore out
also, Ted chose to sleep in his stroller last night. It must be a safe place for him, which is good. :)
Melbcat loved to sleep in her stroller, whether the capsule was up in the frame or by itself.
The capsule to the current one became, ahem, unfit for use but she has boxes with blankets and cutout portholes
Edit: hey they do sell twin strollers
I'm done with this uni course in two days. Kind of wild. Might get donuts from nearby to celebrate the end of a pretty miserable chapter :) and onto the next
Just got a call for an interview next week from a job that closed a month ago. I'd assumed they didn't want me and moved on. Job hunting is so weird.
Oooh, good luck!!
π΅How does it feel
πto treat me like you do?

πAnd told me who you are
Logged into my email and teams this morning just to check. Manager said, to log off and enjoy my day.
Ps5, music and cat cuddles it is!
Edit: Playing titanfall 2 atm, brings back so many memories. Multiplayer is surprisingly still alive.
Some fuck has been flying a quad-copter over my place for a few months now. I want to build an RF jammer thing but it's a $1.5 million or up to 8 years in prison penalty :( My only option is to convince the resident magpie to take it out.
They are so annoying, aren't they? I get DoorDash drones flying over my place, I absolutely hate them. Door Dash claims they are really quiet and fly high enough they are not annoying, but I am regularly being annoyed by the sound so that claim is obviously rubbish.
One of my colleagues brought their 10 month old King Charles Cavellier to the (very quiet) office all day today. Got many pats and licks. I miss living with dogs π
Oh jeez. Just spoke to (78yo) mum and she had another fall. Last one was 2 weeks ago going down 2 stairs. She's just not stable on her feet and her vision is poor. Main thing I'm worried about are hip and head injuries.
I'm going to have to convince her to wear a fall detection device which will be a difficult convo. I succeeded convincing her to give up driving (when I'm looking) but it just feels like I'm robbing independence / making her feel old.
Please have her get a full check up. Falls are a symptom of something else going on 99% of the time. My mum reluctantly agreed to wear a Live Life alarm around 18 months ago, and she wears it daily. I can check her location, and when she fell while out at a bbq Saturday night it alerted me and my brother. We had a quick chat with her through the pendant, and all was good. My MIL on the other hand refuses to wear hers, and spent a night outside after a fall. ETA: if she's accessed My Aged Care, she might be able to get one for no cost through a program called GEAT to Go.
Iβm sorry to hear. Itβs often a difficult conversation that doesnβt always end the way you want it to.
Youβre also trying to protect her from having a horrible accident without a means for someone to get to her in time as well.
I hope things go ok for you.
Thank you. I think I'm just going to try and reduce tripping hazards when I see them and work out how to do that conversation.
You might find this resource helpful: Falls Prevention
If she isnβt already using My Aged Care, get that process started as soon as possible.
Can't decide on a horsie tomorrow? Let me and my trusty darts and blindfold help you. Theres 24 to choose from. You say go and I'll shoot for one. Giddy up.
Time for a nanna nap
Horsie?
If his nanna was a horsie, she would have had a nap.... Or something π²
Extreme pollen again tomorrow and then 35 degrees on Wednesday. I should do all of my errands today but I seem to be moving very slowly.
Spent 2.5hrs cleaning labels and glue off 20 jars to give to a colleague who is lending me some boxes for packing. Jeez what an ordeal. Especially the really stubborn glue that I needed oil to remove (rubbing alcohol might've been better). Not keeping any more jars after this...
It was a great day otherwise though, cooking was well received and it was definitely great to get away from the city and be with others, off my phone (but also be able to leave before hitting my limit). Felt like I had permission to just take it easy and relax. Roads were nice and quiet too. Really glad I took Monday off, the extra long weekend is good for my nerves to recuperate.
Today I'll drop off the jars/pick up the boxes, then head off to help a relative cook and pack a whole bunch of food for the homeless.
Take lids off, soak in sink of hot water
The ones that don't have heat / water reactive glue ya hit with de-solv-it and leave soak ten mins then rinse off easy peasy
Happy extra long weekend to those that are bludging it today.
Sadly I am at work. We really need today to be a public holiday too.
Working today, and tomorrow, and Wed and Thu and Fri. Normal working week for this guy.
All who get the public holiday, enjoy it! I am enjoying the awesome traffic at least.
My man's gone to work today because it's a bludge. He has Friday off instead. Smart.
I'm about to play with a heat gun and some PVC after a few glasses of wine then sunset swim wish me luck erryone it was nice knowing you all. If I don't make it you can have the contents of my freezer.
I was in the between stage of going out and getting something to eat.
Was umming and ahhing if I should do it or not and ended not doing it.
Maybe tomorrow if things are open as I have to work half a day.
My hands are fucking rekt after two hours of finely hand chopping kale and my lower back and knees which were already acting up are not happy today with all the bending and lifting and standing around doing food prep and carrying stuff up and down those crazy outdoor steps. My aunt was very overambitious with how much food she wanted to make today, I noped out of going along with them to deliver because it was so chaotic near the end, and I am ZONKED and need energy for tomorrow to start the real culling/packing now that I have the Good Boxes and Tape courtesy of my lovely colleague.
But it was really good to spend a whole day using my hands and doing good stuff for others, with others!
Aunt might drop by with leftovers in the arvo which I can't complain about :) now it's time for dins, Nurofen and a good restorative sleep...
4 horses left double or nothing? Not really. Could be nothing? π€·ββοΈ
*gamble responsibly.
Ps5 time for the long weekend has come to an end. Lots of fun!
Once upon a time, this used to be my foot rest:
I'm frustrated that every night before bin collection some rando parks right in front of where our bins need to be placed. I put them where they're supposed to be but it risks damaging their car on collection and I will not be a dickhead and put the bins around their car which would block them in. What do you do? I have to do the "missed collection" request with the council far too frequently due to this and the best ideas I have is either leave a note or buying traffic cones :/ Every bloody week this happens.
I'd be the dickhead and block them in. Imo not worth having your bins missed repeatedly because they needed to claim that bit of public land for storage of their private property. It's not like they can't move the bins if they needed to.
Or at least the traffic cones with a note
I put the bins out really early before they park there if I can. Mr P stands there and rants like a maniac loud enough for half the street to hear π€ Then sometimes I just have to put the bins close to their car because I have no choice π€·πΌββοΈ
Anyone had to deal with mud daubers or paper wasps? I have both creating a nest on my house.
Everything I've read suggests they are nonviolent, so my current plan was to leave them be, and then knock off the nests next winter. Its gonna be a zero tolerance policy, if I get bitten once, both are gone.
Am I gonna regret it?
I had mud daubers build a nest on my eaves when I was living in Epping, and they were chill as. I think as long as they are left alone it should be okay.
