Cheese, salami and onion.

I think I've just decided my lunch plans. Maybe I should go all in and add tomato too?

30/50 which surprised me greatly, I got all the first ones wrong

I think I used up all my creativity yesterday, so I've been working on decluttering/sorting my sewing room instead. I think I have finally gotten all my cotton in one place and under control. I have far too many partly used reels, many of them multiples of the same colour. When you have a mess it is easier to just grab a new one for each project instead of finding the old one. I now have all of the partly used rolls in one box, roughly sorted by colour tone. I have also ordered some clips to stop the thread unravelling from the bobbins and reels to try and keep things a bit more orderly. Some of the rolls are getting a bit old, but nothing too antique - I sold all the ones on wooden reels a few years ago!

I also found some nice thick cardboard that I need for the covers of the book I am making - an old fabric covered storage box that I was going to throw out but didn't because Miss Meow enjoyed jumping in it. The cardboard inside that gives it structure should be a perfect weight.

That's my main hayfever symptom. I've found if I use Nasonex spray and take an antihistamine every day I barely notice any problems, but if I don't keep up with it consistently over spring my eyes get very irritated and watery.

Awesome, can you grab me a lamb borek?

Instead of doing anything constructive I should be doing I spent the morning shopping online for embroidery cottons and some additions to make my thread stand more user friendly. I would like to know why, when I already own so many different colours of cotton, I always struggle to find the right colours for every new pattern I do?

I went for a white dog and a black cat, just to make sure anything I wear will have visible hair.

I have been researching online to find options to bind a book I am making. I have decided a combination of bamboo skewers, string and a stick of some type will be utilized. Tomorrow is going to be an intersting arts and crafts day, in which I either put together a glorious creation or a weird looking mess.

Despite having needle like claws Miss Meow is not very good at sewing. She keeps trying to help, which mostly involves sitting on any fabric I am working with, throwing cotton onto the floor and trying to walk on the sewing machine while I am using it.

I have signed up to do a physical activity study. I don't know whether I'm hoping to be in the activity group where I have to use a fitness tracker and app for 6 months or the control group, where I get to make no changes but feel no guilt because it is "for science" and not laziness 🀣

It did inspire me to work out how to fix my scales that somehow got changed to pounds instead of kg. Now I just need to work out how to fix the thermometer that changed to Farenheit when I replaced the battery and I'll have pulled my bathroom out of the weird American vortex it got sucked into.

When I went to bed it was 14 degrees, now 22.6

I think you owe the BoM an apology...

Note to self: Never drive from the Ring Rd to the Eastern Fwy via Bulleen Rd. Ever.

That was not a fun route, in the dark and riddled with roadworks. Plus my GPS seemed to think I was a truck over 10m long as it tried to send me on a very inappropriate detour.

I'm not sure how we're supposed to believe that disposal of nuclear waste won't be a problem when we can't manage systems to properly deal with the waste we are creating now.

"The foundations of our streets

This collection of Melbourne survey maps is a missing piece in the story of Melbourne’s development. They give an account of streetscapes, civic spaces and social development from a pivotal time in our city’s history.Β

The maps are in archive, waiting to be conserved, catalogued and digitised. They are a treasure trove of history with value for researchers, families and students alike."
