Last night we went to Ravenna Gorge Christmas market, not too far from Freiburg. It. Was. AWESOME. It’s under a train viaduct thing that gets lit up in various colours. It was so atmospheric and fun, we really enjoyed it. Highly recommend if you’re in Germany at Christmas market time.

Sitting here contemplating flipping a coin as to whether I'll go for an overnight road trip border adventure but realised I need to get out of this apartment so the answer is already Go.

Ted Cat has good days and bad days. He still bites sometimes. ( and not nips either 😬) but generally he's a lot calmer and I think a bit happy His fur is growing back nicely, into a cat mullet . I'll try to get some pics :)

Yeah, after repeated soaking and washing these blankets still smell. They really let that shit get baked in there. I may also be looking at a new pet pram.

Stubbed my big toe yesterday on a door while closing it. Can't walk on it and it fucking hurts. Been icing it and resting all day. Hopefully it's not broken, but I'm still gonna be stuck home resting because of it either way.

Over the last couple of hours I've applied butter (salted cow butter) to my face and forearms as something of an experiment. I've got a couple of excma spots in of each of my elbows, which is rare for me. I'll update in near future!

I splurged on Valhalla Old English Toffee ice cream from Leo's. Truly excellent decision, spectacular ice cream.

I go out for a smoke and magic happens) and the lyrics aren't synced, open it on your phone and tap on the lyrics a couple of times and the music then syncs to the lyrics and you'll be an accidental hero like Steven Bradbury. I think I made a mistake with my pie. I had a tart dish where you can remove the bottom, but I thought it was too small so I went and bought a glass pie dish. I put the biscuit base direct on the glass and now I’m worried it’s going to be stuck. I should have put down baking paper first. Worst comes to worst, dessert will be a deconstructed pie.

Ugh. I was planning on going on a train thing today, and have been a bit nervous all week (it's a private members train run by a heritage organisation, so most people on there really like trains, and I've had a few bad experiences with a few of the diehards). I hopped into bed at 11:10 and started trying to sleep at 11:30ish. Ever since I've been seeing the time on the clock tick on and on and on every time I adjusted positions and definitely haven't fallen asleep. Except at 2:20 I saw the time and kept trying to sleep, then at 2:30 I woke up because I had a really bad dream (pretty sure it was almost a daydream). And now I'm feeling sick, upset stomach kinda

I don't even know if there's a point trying to push past. Nothing's really happened, so I'm almost wondering if I'm not actually sick but have just gotten so nervous I made myself sick or something. If I managed to sleep right now, I'd get around 3.5 hours of sleep, and that doesn't seem enough to enjoy much of it
