Hey ABC, I wrote a better headline for you:
Conservatives force child rape victim to become parent
This would be great campaign material for other parties. You see this? This is a kid who was forced to have a baby by your legislature. Vote them out!
You can't say that! That will offend the snowflakes!
Anyone who thinks it's acceptable for any rape victim to be forced to carry their rapist's child, can take the longest walk off the shortest pier they can find, then keep walking after that.
I don't give a good goddamn fuck about their opinions.
You could reach out to one of the writers: Rachel Scott,Nadine El-Bawab,Karin Weinberg,Knez Walker,Stephanie Fasano andRachel Rosenbaum
Having a RAPED 13 year old girl give birth is BEAUTIFUL! It's MUCH better then letting that 13 year old see two gay people in public!
Gay people in public? Think of the children!
Conservatives are definitely thinking of the children:
I'm sure it's all just a coincidence.
I'm sure it's all the drag queens' fault
Eww…
Now now, you can't say something like that just because someone has different political opinions than you. I thought you were supposed to be tolerant???
Think of the children's children!
Think of the children's rape babies!
Raped twice. Once by some asshole, and again by a legislature full of them.
That's unfair to assholes. Asshole is your neighbour who doesn't care that his dog shits on your lawn. Rapist is a monster.
Republicans, ladies and gentlemen.
A significant amount of republicans probably sincerely believe that this tragedy is worth "saving the lives of all the other babies that would have been murdered."
Their moral calculus is foolish and predicated on questionable-at-best axioms. They are well meaning but functionally bad people.
Another significant chunk also adheres to "the cruelty is the point." They are bad people.
Unfortunately, for various reasons, republicans have a disproportionate amount of power in the US.
As conservatives cheer...
Aaaaand now they've shunned her and are insisting the baby is Satan's spawn because the girl was a harlot for choosing to be raped. According to Deuteronomy, this mother and child are worthy of death. Hallelujah!
My conservative U.S. House rep insists that a good conservative man cannot be expected to resist a 12 year old girl. That's just science, y'all!
Rapists get to choose who will bear their children, including children. Thank republicans for that.
Mississippi has several conflicting laws and even experts, doctors and patients are having a hard time navigating them
Which is by design, so that outcomes like this happen.
"oh no, whatever shall we do...", says lawmaker making it overly complicated to begin with.
And I am sure the state is going to step up and ensure this child and her child are well taken care of for the rest of their lives. /s
Mississippi has experts?
And I'm sure conservatives will use this as further justification for more abortion bans by going "See! Thirteen year old can safely give birth!"
Fuck anyone supporting the Republican party and their barbaric views on women. This is beyond cruel.
All you fucksticks posting anti Biden memes need to read this story and get it through your thick head what is at stake.
Most of the fucksticks are russian trolls, it's all bad faith.
Every time I think we've reached the bottom, Republicans dig just a little deeper.
Ah, the conservative dream.
Who wants to bet Matt Walsh is furiously jacking it to this article?
Mississippi or Alabama, Mississippi or Alabama, Mississippi!
Coulda codified Roe, but the filibuster was more important.
For 50 Republicans and about three Democrats in the Senate.
The Republicans are the big problem here.
Wasn't it even just two Democrats?
Do you expect Republicans to protect the right to choose? We gave Democrats a majority for a reason. Preserving the filibuster wasn't that reason.
I'd expect them to go along with not filibustering it because people will know that they blocked it, and vote for Democrats instead.
