I always feel like Ubisoft games have so much potential to be great but then are ruined with bugs and repetitive grind quests. They're also nearly always the same game with a different skin

same game with a different skin
what, you’re not excited for Climb Tower to Reveal Next List of Chores 7: We Spent the Budget on another Villain Cameo?
Then they harass the women that work for them
Me still shouting that AC: Odyssey & Origins are the best games in the series while blindfolded against the wall in front of the firing squad.
Haven’t played Origins, but Odyssey is a banger fucking game, bogged down by its relation to AC. I feel like Ubisoft should’ve dropped AC a decade ago and instead focus on a new series focused on exploring different eras. Seeing ancient Athens and vibing with Socrates and Herodotus was great. I even liked the cult assassination thing, but eveytime they did some AC bullshit I just rolled my eyes. Also jfc the billion sidequests and busy map markers suck.
They gave it a bit of a go with Immortals but seemed to miss the mark in some areas.
Give it a more realistic look, a story that takes itself seriously, and more RPG elements, and they'd be on the money.
look I'll let you get away with origins as the vibes are immaculate and bayek are aya are really interesting characters and it's apparently really historically accurate but no way is oddysey better than any of the games in the ezio trilogy revelations is absolutely the best game
Just stick the barrel in my mouth I'm taking this to the grave.
And you have to play that bad game on their bad launcher.
Gotta say, Ubisoft games are kinda the perfect game to play till your attention span decides to never play again. Cause they are fun till then aren't
Apt!
I missed the older Ubisoft. Assassin's Creed 2, Prince of Persia Sand of Time series, Splinter Cells.
I thought I did too, but then I saw the gameplay for AC Mirage which very much reminded me of AC 2 and... I didn't like it? At all? It screamed early 2010s and not in a good way
Honestly, minus the bugs, story, and goofy gimmicks I miss Unity and Syndicate era the most. The parkour hasn't been half as good since. God forbid I want to run up a wall at anything other than a unrealistically perfect 90° angle.
Anno 2070 is their best game yet
