My first laptop had Vista installed on it. It crashed every once in a while, definitely more often than any Linux install I've ever had (though this might also be because younger me downloaded all kinds of fishy files), but I still have fond memories of it because it was my first laptop :3

I can relate to that.

My first laptop was an MSI Ultrabook with... Windows Vista.

Was never able to relate with that OS and the computer felt slower than my already aging WinXP desktop.

Because I was misinformed at the store I was convinced I had bought a machine with no OS, so I asked a coworker for a Linux and was supplied with a Suse. And the rest is history.
