Longer bread rule (slrpnk.net)
submitted 1 week ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

Bet you the bread is so dry that it could be used as a spill kit, and the meat is somehow sweaty.

€9.5? For that? I'm so glad I don't fly.

You don't have to eat their crap. You can pack your own snacks.

Ok I've got the wildest related story. Flew domestic Lufthansa from Germany to Paris and they gave out free prepackaged sandwiches kinda like this.

To this day I need to track down that sandwich manufacturer (was some German brand) next time I'm there. It was amazing. Simple ham and cheese on wheat. The cheese was think and velvet soft, airy light bread, and equally thick cuts of lightly salted ham. At the perfect chilled temperature.

Again, all for free on like a 50 minute flight. Easily one of the best airlines out there. Loved riding on their A380s.

I feel like their service quality has been going down lately. Though if you flew domestic from Germany to Paris, it must have been quite some time ago anyway.

Been pretty happy with ANA lately. Have yet to try Ethiad and Emirates. Supposedly very good, but I don't like the owners.

Airplane food isn't always bad, is just so dry in the cabin that you can barely taste anything, and bread goes stale instantly.

Iceland Air?

I had one of these, not bad at all. Sometimes a simple sandwich is all you need when you're sleep deprived on a red-eye flight.

Long sandwich for long flight

Gotta make that thing last

I got mild food poisoning after eating one of these. Was not ideal.

it wouldn't be bad if it cost at least 5 bucks, ideally 3.

Better than the bread is somehow wet.

You're absolutely right. Having had multiple smushed soggy Subway sandwiches for lunch, I can wholeheartedly agree with you
