Are the any games that have armor like this, but they're actual items you can find? You could be playing as a male protagonist and find some female armor, then just put it on.

Zelda doesn't count because there's no female protagonist option.

fallout 4 lets you wear anything regardless of gender. also skyrim's hide armor is much more revealing on men than women

bonus: dead rising 1 and 2 let you wear anything but there is no female protag

Link is male, dressed stereotypically female, and Samus is female, dressed stereotypically male. Just a mild chuckle at the “exception that proves the rule” I suppose.
