I went from a 1MHz C64 to a 2.4 GHz PC.
My mother had this "you already have one computer" response every time I wanted to upgrade, so I didn't get to upgrade until I moved out.

That's only the browser. Changing radio stations, adjusting the temperature, picking an alternative route when traffic is slow are all things that require taking your mind and eyes off the road with a touch screen, a lot more than with physical controls.
Also, the first thing I do when stopped is get out of the car. I hate those cramped things.

Linux on my desktop PC, MacOS on my laptop, Android on my phone.
I usually use Windows at work, but currently unemployed, so didn't select that.
I also didn't select FreeBSD, which I run on my server, because I don't dit down at my server, I didn't think about including it. But assuming that's a Vivaldi-related question, it's not relevant anyway, I don't run a browser on my server.

If I needed one, I would pick a Hilux. But I much prefer 2 wheels, so I probably won't ever get one.
Though I'm still trying to figure out how to move a kayak on two wheels. Kayak bicycle trailers aren't legal here in Denmark (max legal length of bicycle+trailer is 3.5m, most kayaks are longer than that without the bicycle). So if I ever get a truck, that would be the reason.

Seems to me they have had a strategy since Firefox 4:
1: Move as many users to Chrome as possible.
2: Pull all value out of the company.
3: Let the remains burn.

Does that mean there will be an XFCE Matrix client? Looking at Wikipedia, it appears that current clients are either KDE/QT or big and slow web based clients.

I was answering a question about what happens when it becomes unprofitable for "powerful actors that have a literal stranglehold on the market" to keep pumping money into maintaining that strangehold.
I expected it to be obvious that the first thing that happens is that they stop doing so. THEN there is room for others to improve things.

Things improve.
Youtube does not have a monopoly because it's the only video app installed on your computer, but because it's the one everyone uses.
Plenty of people have tried to compete, but Youtube was good enough. Others had good reasons to try but concluded that Youtube was good enough.
When Youtube is no longer good enough, they get to show they can do it better.
Google search is worse, because it hasn't been good enough for a long time, but somehow every competitor has decided to be worse. Altavista 25 years ago beat what Google search is today, I can't imagine Microsoft being unable to afford to bring Bing up to Altavista levels.

And don't arrest people over a misunderstanding, "blow up" IS used in a figurative sense, so there was never a threat in the first place.
