So I have a 8-year old #Windows Win10 desktop that Microsoft states will not support Windows 11. Fine.

So why does it let me spin up full #Hyperv Windows VM running Win11? Guess I'll turn it into a HyperV host when Win10 goes EOL.

Based on my little survey, 81% believe search has become worse with the introduction of AI.

Do the search engine makers care or will they continue in the same direction?

IMHO, if you want to show something as the definite answer to a question, it better be right and not some AI generated stuff.

The goal for search should be to have the best possible search results. Typically AI generated stuff is not that. You would like the original information and not a rehash.

Aplikacja jest dostępna na wszystkie popularne systemy operacyjne: #Windows, #macOS, #Linux, #Android, #iOS, a nawet #FireOS.

Secureworks released their "State of the Threat" Report that covers cybercrime, state-sponsored threat activity, and, my favorite part, the notable trends in Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).

On page 30, we can find some great information related to #Infostealers and their capabilities. They highlight that the information that they collect are sold as logs and that these logs may contain "local application data such as crypto wallets and VPN data; documents; system information..".

Focusing on the #Lumma stealer, we find that a common behavior associated with it is the abuse of #Windows living-off-the-land binary schtasks to schedule a task that executes from an abnormal location.

There really are a lot of Linux users here. Happy to see that. Windows and Mac are similar in size. Android is larger than iOS, but not by a much in this survey.

A few are using ChromeOS, but there is an impressive 3% using other OS on a daily basis!

Here is another great resource from the JPCERT/CC! For those of you out there who aren't familiar with the Japan Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center, they published a report that got me into threat hunting, and that was the "Tool Analysis Result Sheet", which changed the game for me.

The article today covers different #Windows Event Logs that you can use to identify human-operated ransomware. Using only the Application, Security, System, and Setup logs, the researchers dug through Conti, Phobos, Midas, BadRabbit, and more ransomware strains to see what evidence they left behind!
