i was having depression thoughts about being dumb today but this post made me feel a lot better

i use laptops

i dont really know what to do. i learned to code and right now i can't get a job.

all of my experience is in programming, so i can't really get into other industries. i can't do most jobs bc i am disabled and cannot drive, so the fact all the current advice is "do a job that requires the ability to drive" really isn't helpful. like even if i made enough money to move to the city i still couldn't be a plumber.

if anyone has any advice on jobs that are remote i would appreciate it

ah yes, the economically efficient method of requiring every person to own an expensive and huge steel death machine, then having them all drive to the same location separately

which, is very interesting to me. they think police = the only moral arbiters, and that people should not talk about crimes with other people who aren't the moral arbiters?

i think i get ignored by half the jobs i apply for, and the other half is an automated decline message. i think i get 1 callback for like... 100-200 applications. kinda hard to keep going.

and i have a degree + 2 years of experience in the industry :3

i was going to play devil's advocate and say that liking lolita doesn't say anything bad about a person, but a love story???? holy shit, it's all projection isn't it?

they're supportive of trans people until its their own kid. matching the furniture is a pretty apt comparison, because time and time again ive seen parents who were "progressive" be absolutely destroyed over their kid being trans, because somehow that makes the kid they raised "gone" in their eyes. its very dumb and stupid and also why im not out to my "progressive" parents bc im completely sure they'll react like that too
