I know right? I only found out about it when it was mentioned in one of the recent update videos! It's a godsend for asset exporting!

I certainly can't explain most of those quirks, but at least I can tell you 'g' is for 'grab'

No problem, anything to help a fellow blender artist! While there's a very good reason blender does images like that, it's admittedly very unintuitive and could definitely use some updates to make it clearer.

Texture painting (and any images in general) are saved as separate files in blender by default! They're not saved as part of your .blend file. You can press alt+s while your mouse is in the image viewer (or just click the image dropdown menu at the top of the image viewer, which should have an asterisk if your image is unsaved) to save the image.

Alternatively, you CAN pack the images into the blend file! Under the file menu in the top left, select external data > pack resources. Then, whenever you save your blend file it should ask if you want to save the image too. note: you DO need to have saved a separate copy of the image first for this to work, but you do NOT need to keep the separate copy after you've packed the file.

This is easily the best trailer yet. Now that we have a second locale revealed they're just hitting us with a torrent (pun intended) of new stuff! I love how the flagship looks, it reminds me of berukyurosu from frontier with the wing whips! And we certainly can't forget the release date, which is waaaay sooner than I expected. I was banking on a summer release to be honest.

That's actually way more reasonable than I was expecting! For how this game is looking, and given certain recent games from Capcom, I was sure the recommended here was gonna be the minimum. That's pretty much my PC on the dot so I'm definitely happy.

Oxygen Not Included - after binging ONI videos all month I finally decided to give actually playing the game a go. Turns out watching lots of high level gameplay does not make you a good player! The struggle is tons of fun though.

Stationeers - A second super complicated game, I just had to hop in and play with all the new robotic arms they just added! Or rather, I would if I could make a functioning station in the first place... Time to go refactor the atmospherics again!

Satisfactory - The hat trick for brain melting games this week, with the release of 1.0 I've started up a brand new world and I can't wait to mess around with all the new toys we've got! Unfortunately I've been hit with a nasty post-release bug but hopefully they'll fix it right away and I can continue my factory adventures!

Astro Bot - A game to help unwind after the stress of the other three games, I genuinely cannot comprehend the amount of heart that went into this game! I seriously find myself grinning from ear to ear every time I boot it up, and I'm always looking forward to my next chance to play!

Started up a new world after not playing since like... update 5 I think? Already having a blast with it, though I've ran into a bug where coal miners won't take coal from belts unless you have coal in your inventory and I think I'm gonna have to shelve it until that's fixed unfortunately...

All the new QoL features are amazing though, and I'm crazy excited to see all the new late game content and what insane production lines I'm gonna havr to think up!
