That's not what this is about

[–] [email protected] 12 points 7 months ago

I was just saying the other day to one of my friends that I have never had a USB-C port fail on me in anyway.

Two sides of a coin I guess.

You don't know what you're even defending, and then when called out for it you say I'm genocidal, lol. Really proved my point there for me, you think you know more than you do

Because it invalidates your opinion on everything, imo. Shows a lack of critical thinking and shows you think you know more than you actually do.

I've tried voice assistants, won't be viable until there's at least half a million autistic linux users who iron out all the kinks for a self hosted service.

That's literally what he did, yes. You support Hamas so your opinions are invalid anyways.

Ah, so you liken people you deem less than you to inanimate objects, cool

You're all making jokes about how obvious this is, however I would argue that it's still a very important thing to study and an important thing to say.

So many people pull out the suicide statistics of trans people, and for anyone with a brain, would understand that the rates of suicide are so high is because of the ratio of people who hate them simply for existing. How many times can you be told to fucking kill yourself before you do, huh?

This study validates that not telling kids to kill themselves, and and having loving parents is the "secret" to bringing down rates of depression and suicide.

So for everyone with a brain this is pretty god damned obvious, it's sad that it needs to be said, but it does still need to.

It's still a significant net positive for the workers, meaning that the union gets the workers more money in their pockets than if there wasn't a union.

Your argument is therefore invalid

I had so many issues with documentation in Unity just not being up to date at all, and me trying to find answers on the Unity sub reddits were met with "are you too fucking stupid to google" and then link me to the documentation I just said didn't work. Godot's documentation is just in the engine and I don't have to search for it, and it's almost always either up to date or close enough that a quick Google solves the issue.

I've found that Godot's community was much more forgiving and much more receptive. It did take a bit of a hit when the Unity users came over and started acting like snobs and entitled that Godot NEEDS to make changes because Unity does something a certain way.

Even on slow internet, you can download and make.a new project in godot in the time it takes to open a project in Unity.

Any update? (programming.dev)

Not trying to rush, just curious if you're planning on releasing soon

I feel like Godot's AnimationTree is significantly more valuable and useful than Unity's Animator component. You can nest your Statemacchins or blend trees or BlendSpace2Ds. You can attach scripts to individual Statemachine Transitions if you wanted.

You also have access to the Advance Expressions, which is a fantastic way to not have to manually set a billion bools

And you can actually manipulate all of this from code, something I detested about Unity was how locked out I felt from the Animator component, and the legacy animation system is beyond old and depreciated. Godot doesn't lock anything away and you can modify everything you want from code, if you need.

Curious if maybe I missed something with my time in Unity, but it made me frustrated and annoyed more than anything.

It's so much louder than I would have guessed when I first saw it. Youtube videos are really hard to gauge when determining sound and sound quality because of mic quality, youtube compression, then your speaker quality, etc, so I hadn't gotten my hopes up too much.

I put some ball ended nylons on it and it sounds so fucking smooth. I had seen negative reviews saying it sounded like a cheap plastic toy, but they're either elitists (you know the kind of people Im talking about) or they got a defective unit.

So happy with this travel guitar. I opted for the acoustic/electric version just for the built in jack. The built in sounds could be better and their app kinda sucks but the sound of the actual guitar without the enhancements is incredible.

I mean, yeah you could find a cheaper guitar at a pawn shop or something, but this thing is tiny and temperature resistant. I work in south Louisiana where it's literally over 100s almost every day this month and humid beyond belief. This is the perfect travel guitar

I primarily use Libretorrent, but it absolutely fucking pisses me off to no end sometimes. I'll come back and my torrents will have file size mismatch out of nowhere and you can't delete individual files within a torrent once you've started them, and sometimes torrents will just dissappear altogether from the app (while still being stored on my phone, so It's not a whole loss)

I like to download higher quality versions of TV shows, but don't want to commit to the 60-100 GB that is sometimes the whole show (I have a god damned flag ship now that doesn't have an SD card. Pathetic)

Flud and Bitlord are just skins of libretorrent (or it is a skin of one of them)

I haven't touched uTorrent and it's clones on PC since like 2012, and I have never used them on Android.

Any experience with clients for android that seem to fit my usecase? I just want something reliable and something I can delete files after download without the whole torrent being rendered unstable.
