Loudly queer, delightfully raunchy and a blast to see live, the singer charted an unlikely path to pop stardom. Fans, bookers, her producer and more explain how it happened.

SiegedSec, a collective of self-proclaimed “gay furry hackers,” has claimed credit for breaching online databases of the Heritage Foundation, the conservative think tank that spearheaded the rightwing Project 2025 playbook. On Wednesday, as part of string of hacks aimed at organizations that oppose trans rights, SiegedSec released a cache of Heritage Foundation material.

In a post to Telegram announcing the hack, SiegedSec called Project 2025 “an authoritarian Christian nationalist plan to reform the United States government.” The attack was part of the group’s #OpTransRights campaign, which recently targeted rightwing media outlet Real America’s Voice, the Hillsong megachurch, and a Minnesota pastor.

In his foreword to the Project 2025 manifesto, the Heritage Foundation’s president, Kevin Roberts, rails against “the toxic normalization of transgenderism” and “the omnipresent propagation of transgender ideology.” The playbook’s other contributors call on “the next conservative administration” to roll back certain policies, including allowing trans people to serve in the military.

“We’re strongly against Project 2025 and everything the Heritage Foundation stands for,” one of SiegedSec’s leaders, who goes by the handle vio, told The Intercept.

Hello!

I created a new LGBTQIA+ community for French speakers:

[email protected]

However, being a cis-gender, heterosexual male, I don't know if I'm the best candidate to moderate this community. I want to make this a safe space for everybody and I want everyone to be able to express themselves freely, without judgement. I would really like to get some help to moderate this space.

I was wondering if there was anyone in this community who would be willing to volunteer? The only requirements would be to be francophone or very fluent in French and identify as someone who is as part of the LGBTQIA+.

Votre aide sera grandement apprécié! :)

I tried to ask a another youtuber Living Anachronism who has worked with Shadiversity if he knew about Shad's homophobic content & the mod delete my question, told me asking about that was against the no drama rule, that it wasn't homophobic & proceeded to try to gaslight me with pseudo-intellectual bullshit.

I'm tired of bringing thing up in non queer spaces only to be told that's it not actually homophobic.

The original video I referred to:https://youtu.be/GiyMDN9j2OU?si=bDqnc1pCG8t3HASp

Of those who discontinued medical treatments such as hormone therapy, a new study found that 80 percent continued to endorse a trans identity.

The original scene goes as follows

Sam: It's just... sometimes the world can be a scary place. It's hard to know who's dangerous or not.

Nightshade: Hmm, that's true, though dissapointing.

Sam: Hey, it's ok. I know I'm safe when I'm with my friends or other non-binary people.

Nightshade: Non-binary?

Sam: People who aren't female or male. Oh I'm sorry, I shouldn't have assumed.

Nightshade: I always felt my pronouns felt right, but what a wonderful word for a wonderful experience.

the one on BBC iplayer goes like this:

Sam: It's just... sometimes the world can be a scary place. It's hard to know who's dangerous or not.

Nightshade: Hmm, that's true, though dissapointing.

Sam: Hey, it's ok. I know I'm safe when I'm with my friends.

[second of awkward silence as the audio was removed but nothing was added back in and then it cuts to the next scene]

to fellow brits you can see the edited scene here, 10:15 seconds in: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0g9f9cn/transformers-earthspark-series-1-17-home-part-1?seriesId=unsliced

Rural retail chain company Tractor Supply are facing calls for a boycott for, amongst other things, donating money to diversity and inclusion causes, which included projects that support LGBTQ+ youth.

Tractor Supply is far from the only retail chain that has faced boycott calls over DEI and Pride initiatives in recent years, though a rural supply company is certainly an unusual target for the right.

In fact, just today, right-wingers decided to take aim at IKEA’s rainbow Pride charity cake. To mark Pride Month 2024, the UK branch of the Swedish furniture chain announced its popular rainbow cake is back in its restaurants and will be sold throughout June, with 100 per cent of the profits going to LGBT+ Switchboard.
