I really don’t care if they don’t stock it… I don’t buy any of that tat and don’t celebrate Australia Day beyond just appreciating a day off.
If they want to do more they could make food and basics more affordable but they won’t
Culture war, get yer stupid culture war here.
From memory they reduced the amount of Australia Day paraphernalia because of poor sales, supply and demand at work. Right-wingers started having fits because Woolies was “going woke” even though it’s capitalism doing what it does and the bigots were too busy buying their car window Australian flags off eBay.
So hypocrites getting mad at an admittedly shitty grocery store because it looks like it was developing a sense of guilt when in reality the same mad mob wasn’t buying enough to justify stocking the Made in China Aussie day disposable shit anyway.
Our population is special.
Nationalism. The refuge of scoundrels
I like how 'do more' is in scare quotes.
Is there any supermarkets who don’t celebrate it? I’d rather give them my money.
Aldi?
I've managed to find ones which are a step below supermarkets, so selling flags and nationalist paraphernalia is probably beyond their scope.
Fun reminder: IGA is a US-founded brand.
