The first grass pot looks to have some white stuff on the soil… really hoping that’s not mould.

Also I checked Central Animal Records to make sure the details were up to date and it says Melbcat isn’t registered with the council?

I’m going to have to ring them and check the details on there too. I know I registered her, it was a whole song and dance because she was adopted directly from her old owner and I’ve been paying her registration fees for years.

Mycorrhiza can be good or bad - what's the growth stage of the plant in the pot, and what medium?

It’s cheap potting mix, the grass has sprouted and is still very tender but standing upright. About an inch and a half long. I noticed it when they were barely pushing up but hoped it was just minerals leaching and drying on the surface of the larger (bark?) pieces.

Now there are little bits forming on the surface of the potting mix.

I didn’t sterilise the potting mix

Anyone coming to the Referendum weekend camping orgy should probably apply for a postal vote for being "more than 8km from your electorate" that weekend. https://www.aec.gov.au/referendums/vote/postal-voting.html The site hasn't been secured yet but it's looking promising.
