Mycorrhiza can be good or bad - what's the growth stage of the plant in the pot, and what medium?
It’s cheap potting mix, the grass has sprouted and is still very tender but standing upright. About an inch and a half long. I noticed it when they were barely pushing up but hoped it was just minerals leaching and drying on the surface of the larger (bark?) pieces.
Now there are little bits forming on the surface of the potting mix.
I didn’t sterilise the potting mix
I wouldn't worry overmuch, it's normal and healthy. Piff the bits of bark with growth if it concerns you.
That’s good, as long as it isn’t going to harm the seedlings
