These people are all so FUCKING WEIRD. I'm glad people (with megaphones) are finally saying it.

FFS, the qons are just so goddamned weird. It's bad enough she thinks this country was built as a white xtian ethnostate, she has to eat dog food on top of that? And the dipshit running for POTUS thinks she is someone he should be flying around with? The Republicans were always awful, but they just keep getting worse. And more and more weird.

flying around with

I’m not familiar with that euphemism.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 13 hours ago

Ive tried dog food when i was 10. It tasted like shit. And i sure as hell didn't record a video of me eating and shilling the dog food.

What a fucking weirdo

Why is everyone surprised?

Frankly, dog food is the least disgusting thing she's had in her mouth recently.

Did she think it was a fresh batch of America balls?

[-] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago

My theory is Loomer likes dog food.

[-] [email protected] 69 points 1 day ago

She positively highlights that it comes from “protected” Canadian bison so there are “no hormones” and “no vaccines given to the bison”.

These people are now claiming food, and pet food, need to be unvaccinated?

[-] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago

Is livestock usually vaccinated?

[-] [email protected] 5 points 19 hours ago

Like humans, there's a set of more or less mandatory vaccines.

It's when you reach an industrial scale of factory farming that animals are pumped full of shit just so they make it to adulthood.

[-] [email protected] 70 points 1 day ago

On an industrial scale (like we have in the USA), yes, we vaccinate the hell out of livestock. I understand that it has to do with their terrible conditions and diets. If they weren't vaccinated and fed antibiotics like crazy most wouldn't make it to slaughter weight or be able to keep producing (milk or eggs).

One example of cow vaccination information: https://extension.umn.edu/beef-cow-calf/cattle-vaccine-basics

[-] [email protected] 18 points 1 day ago

Eh, the antibiotics are only in part to keep them from dying. It also promotes faster growth. In actuality, the majority of the time they don’t need antibiotics to make it to slaughter.

[-] [email protected] 23 points 1 day ago

Furthermore, it's been argued that this gung-ho attitude with antibiotics is promoting the growth of antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria.

[-] [email protected] 13 points 1 day ago

yes, because debilitating viruses could wipe out herds, especially for those factory farmers where animals are living in destitute situations.

it's also one of the reasons why eating horse meat is illegal in the U.S because horses are pumped with stuff because theyre raised to be companions for work rather than for consumption.

[-] [email protected] 13 points 1 day ago

Yes, very much so

[-] [email protected] 52 points 1 day ago

As someone who worked at a place that boarded pets, you bet we tried most of the dog food at one point. The only thing I remember decently after all these years is that treats can be pretty decent. Someone had some chicken jerky, no spices or anything. That was certainly the best. Milkbones are bland and dry. Can't remember much else, like kibble and such, which really just says it's not horrendous and not great.

[-] [email protected] 6 points 1 day ago

I've accidentally eaten a peanutbutter dog treat and didn't realize until I was told it wasn't a cookie.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 17 hours ago

Ended up using dog shampoo while staying at my parents place for 2 weeks. It made my hair weird but how I figured it out was it was in one of those clear bottles with the picture on the inside behind the semi clear aqua blue shampoo. So when I picked it up for the 6th time I actually tilted it passed the point where I could see "Shampoo" and up to what I thought would be wheat or yellow flowers.

Golden retriever smiling back at me....

[-] [email protected] 5 points 23 hours ago

That sounds like probably too much salt or sugar for a dog, if it's palatable to a human. Source: I make dog treats

[-] [email protected] 3 points 15 hours ago

As someone who has eaten expired MREs the term palatable can mean very different things to different people. I ate a spaghetti MRE once that my grandmother said "smells like moldy paper towels" yet I stilled shovelled it down my throat. They tasted like old cardboard.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 5 hours ago

Did you .. Like it? I've eaten rotten food too, and could get it down, but wouldn't really call it enjoyable

[-] [email protected] 2 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

It was acceptable I think there was just something wrong with that one in particular. Usually they just smell funky and taste fine. Also all the side shit was pretty good and the chocolate bar hadn't seperated at all so I assume there was just something wrong with the pasta.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 hours ago

Are you Steve?

[-] [email protected] 3 points 23 hours ago

My parents, for God knows what reason, leave their dog treats in a bowl on the table. They look like oyster crackers.

I walked in one day to find my aunt eating them. I laughed and told her they were dog treats, and she was like "i was wondering why they tasted a bit weird... But they're not bad." Lol

[-] [email protected] 21 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Thank you for doing the research

[-] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

Thanks. It was pretty thankless work.

[-] [email protected] 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I remember years ago some blogger would eat lots of weird things and review them and he had an article where he tried different dog treats. He said something along the lines of "I now know why dogs lick their own asses. It's to get the taste of Beggin' Strips out of their mouths."

[-] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

I had a friend in college who sampled dry dog food before giving it to his dog. I don't remember why exactly, but it certainly isn't poisonous to humans

[-] [email protected] 47 points 1 day ago

This really completes the Trump-inner-circle motif. Team orange moron now includes couch humper Vance, the brain worm, Steve "Wannabe Hitler" Miller, and now welcoming dog chow Loomer!

[-] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago

the brain worm

Aren't you forgetting RFK Jr is also the road-kill bear guy, whale head decapitator, dog diner and serial adulterer? He fits right in with the diaper wearing, Kotex ears and the "Beetle Juice" groping woman.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

Yes, there's definitely a cornucopia of nicknames for that guy.

[-] [email protected] 6 points 23 hours ago

Let’s be real, here. This lady and her ilk are a terror. But…it’s 2024. Dog food toppers are like, freeze dried peanut butter. Beef broth. Basically saltless human food.

Why are we making this a big thing? I used to work in a dog food store. We would eat some sample treats that we’d get because they were basically sugarless cookies. And they’re all made in human grade factories because it’s a selling point. Shit, there was one dog treat company that made dog treats that were too sweet for me to enjoy.

There is plenty of disgusting, vile, inhuman shit these people do. Why stretch for something to trash them with? Pick one of the millions of others right within reach.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 19 hours ago

You perfectly described what I thougt but wouldn't be able to put into words so nicely.

[-] [email protected] 24 points 1 day ago

Laura Loomer the dog chow groomer

[-] [email protected] 27 points 1 day ago

She should've eaten it like a normal person: as a dare when you're like 8 years old.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 19 hours ago

My parents had puppies when I was born and I used to roam around with them all day. The day lil baby me discovered that I could access the milkbone cupboard, we feasted like kings.

[-] [email protected] 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Definitely ate a milkbone on a dare as a kid... honestly I don't even remember it tasting bad, the only thing I remember is that it was - unsurprisingly - dry as fuck.

I buy my dog a particular brand of dog treat because the damn things smell SO GOOD. Literally like a bakery. I've never eaten one, but I take a big whiff of the bag every time it's open.

[-] [email protected] 8 points 1 day ago

I have an aunt that makes dog treats for sale at farmers markets.

They're basically peanut butter cookies. (I think the big thing is no salt, no sugar, and some special PB that's not got additives.)

[-] [email protected] 7 points 1 day ago

I've made peanut butter cbd dog treats. My husband complains they're too dry and bland because i use unsalted, unsweetened peanut butter. The dogs like them.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 1 day ago

Alright, now you sound like my late uncle who told me how his carob dog treats were so high quality humans can eat them… I guess I ate more dog food as a kid than I initially thought, but they were NOT good
