summary by brave leo :

  1. Israeli forces carried out a military operation in the central Gaza Strip on June 8, 2024, resulting in the death of at least 210 Palestinians and injury of 400 others.

  2. The operation was reportedly aimed at rescuing four Israeli captives held in Gaza, who were subsequently rescued and reunited with their families.

  3. The operation was launched in Nuseirat and Deir al-Balah areas, with Israeli forces using artillery fire and reportedly infiltrating the Nuseirat refugee camp using trucks disguised as humanitarian aid vehicles.

  4. The incident has resulted in criticism and outrage, with reports of U.S. involvement in the operation, including alleged support from the U.S. hostage cell in Israel and the use of a U.S.-built humanitarian pier off the Gaza coast.

  5. The U.S. National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, confirmed U.S. support for efforts to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas.

  6. The incident has sparked intense criticism and debate, with Hamas claiming that the release of the four captives does not change the strategic failure in Gaza and that the resistance still holds a larger number of captives.

the use of a U.S.-built humanitarian pier off the Gaza coast

This is why no one, ever, should donate for US led humanitarian aid. This is called perfidy, and it is a war crime. To create military infrastructure disguised as aid infrastructure or using humanitarian infrastructure to conduct military operations is a war crime. I suppose just another line on the laundry list of crap that Israel and the US have done in the past 6 months alone. But the worse is they just destroyed the credibility on the ground of any aid initiative and made it even harder for anyone trying to help to be trusted again.

yes, US and Israel have a long history of using the cover of humanitarianism to do military actions. https://x.com/zei_squirrel/status/1799605369141948538

I got downvoted heavily for stating this fact. Glad it's being acknowledged

Geneva Guidance.

Treat it like the lost arts to commit war crimes.

When I made this graphic months ago, I expected I'd only need to use it one or twice. Unfortunately, it's seen a lot of action.

Don't worry though guys, it's totally not a genocide, the government told us so and we all know how much we can trust the government.

I belive the term ethnic cleansing and ethic violence is more accurate than genocide, and I think it's more helpful to the propalestinian argument as it's less debatable, but you do you

The only answer to this genocide should be a bullet to the heads of USA and Israel heads. Bonus points if taxpayer compliant civilians are wiped out, so that USA never dares to step foot on overseas soil.
