The fact that Thomas is still a justice astounds me. It shows the complacency our country has.
Aside from complete and total revolution, what do you propose be done about a corrupt supreme court justice?
Article says there is already one for Thomas that has over 1.3 millions signatures
The House and Senate can check the court with the President’s support.
- Justices can be impeached by a 2/3 majority in the Senate.
- They can have term limits introduced to stop lifetime appointments.
- They can have the court size shrank, removing some members.
- They can have the court size increased, making the individual vote count less.
- They could introduce a rule to require a supermajority in the court to declare a law unconstitutional.
- Impose new ethics rules for justices (thereby removing the corrupt justice).
So if we want to peacefully fix the court we need a Congress that can work with the President to do that.

Also the Court may have overstepped their authority. There needs to be a discussion about the limits of their pronouncements. They do not sit above all of government. There's checks and balances in the system.
There’s checks and balances in the system.
There used to be.
In theory.
Do online petitions ever do anything other than give moveon more people to spam?
Abso-fucking-lutely!! ✊
The current government can't even agree that Nazi's are bad, it is next to hopeless that they will come together and create the new precedent needed to out these corrupt assholes. People have short memories, this situation has been over a decade in the making and now we reap what we sow. RBG fucked us by not retiring despite being old as cancer ridden dirt so Obama could sit a replacement and that combo'd with the country losing its collective mind and voting for Trump caused two dark age justices to be appointed that we just have to deal with. So buckle up I guess, this isn't getting any better any time soon.
