Meat guide said it’s fine to cook meat the day of expiry, so the lamb mince is good to go. Chilled overnight and what the cat didn’t eat now has been frozen.

Melbcat is going nuts for it. She’s just kept asking for more.

(If you’re asking why a cat gets mince? The food she needs is $2.40 for an 85g can, where the same amount of the mince is $1.27. Chicken would be even cheaper if she could have it. Neither of those are nutritionally complete but her dry food is and I can add taurine and vegetables if needed.)
