What would you call this? A buffet, bureau, kitchen hutch, cabinet, the big wooden thing with doors, the thingy, mummy's big dust collector? No answers are wrong.
It's a buffet and hutch. Loved mine, but no room for it post renovation.
I've heard the saying "buffet and hutch set" before and now it makes sense. Thank you.
I think that’s a kitchen hutch by definition. It also looks like a quality piece.
It is 2 very heavy solid pieces.
that's a kitchen dresser
Ahhh. I never thought of that. Thank you. I always went with buffet.
it's what people had before built in benches and modular kitchens, that and tables to work at
Cocktail cabinet
Haha. It does indeed hold a large array of glassware.
I always went with buffet but sometimes hutch but that didn't sound right because I thought a hutch was arched. This is why I'm asking the people.
a buffet is for storing plates and such and serving , not working at, aka sideboard
There is crockery stored in there but I think you hit the mark with kitchen dresser.
Bureaux can also store clothing or trinkets in a bedroom.
The bastard offspring of a secretaire and a credenza. A secretaire has the upper glass fronted cabinet on top of cupboards, but usually a pull out writing surface too and some drawers. A credenza has the cupboards below only and a flat top surface for putting dishes on.
Kitchen buffet sounds about right.
Interesting.
Hooray I got one half right :)
A spice rack and booze cupboard.
E: Or credenza.
E # 2 credenza and hutch
It has neither of those in it. I have special cupboards for those things.
