The groomer said she "expressed some opinions and told some stories" and now it looks like she's wearing socks.

Glass is blurry thanks to me being too lazy to clean algae. Also check out this guy shitting out the window of their little clay house:

I used to use Taste of the Wild to vary up the flavours, but a dog groomer ex told me that most brands bake their kibble into brown mush and then spray rendered fat on it to give it some semblance of taste/nutrition. She got me hooked on Bil-Jac which instead slow cooks their kibble with the bulk of it being proper chicken meat. It's wildly expensive ($65/30lbs locally) but there's something so Upton Sinclair about kibble in general. That's been the lesser evil I've found short of switching to a raw diet.

Kibble alone doesn't stimulate his appetite much. I mix in either peanut butter, pumpkin, part of a can of soft food, sweet potatoes, non-fat greek yoghurt, roasted root veggies, or peas just to change things up. He also gets a carrot or celery along with a dental treat every day, and I let him forage for a bit of grass on walks.

Apart from being slightly overweight out of hiking season, his fur/skin/teeth/GI health have all been pretty much ideal for 5 years.

She hasn't given up my stinky shirt for a few days and it must remain on her chair.

But whenever I get the surfo turfo burrito he gets kinda weirded out because he thinks the shrimp are mutant krill.

He loves krill. He asks the staff at every restaurant/coffee shop/anywhere we visit if they serve krill and I advise them to just say yes—if they say no he keeps asking over and over, and if they say yes he just gets really happy and exclaims, “Krill! Krill!” and then forgets and just starts shouting “Yay!”

If I place him on my lap he'll immediately walk back onto my desk and lay down in his favorite spot. I can't get any work done; send help.

Edit: Sometimes in response I'll reciprocate by laying my head on him and listening to him purr while we snuggle; he's the perfect therapy cat I love him so much. powercry-1 meow-hug

I don’t really consider him a pet, per se, but whatever.

He’s a blue whale. He’s very sweet and empathetic but he also has the memory of a goldfish and forgets what words mean. He likes to exclaim “Yay!” and flap his flippers, even at statements like “Joe Biden is in town” or “I’m probably going to die.” When he’s sad it only lasts a few minutes; then he forgets why he’s sad.

I’m terrified of losing him so usually he stays at a friend’s house, but he’s kicking it with me.

He was originally intended to be a gift for the friend who won’t talk to me. But now he’s my best friend.

My current foster goes to the adoption center in a few short hours. He is as charming as he looks and will be adopted to a good home soon. I'll miss the guy.

EDIT: Adopted!

My girlfriend and I were asked to take in this kitty as a foster after she had been found on the side of the road with a severe head injury. She's a little too brain damaged to be a normal cat right now, but she's at least eating a lot and seems to be getting better, even if she still requires syringe feeding and hasn't figured out the litter box. Yesterday, she even attempted to groom herself after a bath! trans-heart
