in case you dont know, they should continue to grow for several years as long as your levels are good, even if the pain and tenderness does subside after a while

i have to be honest I can't read Romaji though, it just looks like a mess to me, would rather just see it written in Japanese instead

いぬがみ (preferably with the kanji 犬神 as well as I am bad at reading them and I want to get better) is much easier for me to read than "inugami" and its worse the longer the word is

I worked there some time between 2005-15 (I'm old and can't remember years well but it was definitely after 1990) and I absolutely was told to put the lard in the fry vats. Interestingly they used canola oil for the non French fry vats.

damnit I have so many games to play and here I am buying another one despite swearing off roguelikes. You had me at FTL and zones not being randomly generated

this tbh, i was struggling with RSI for years and had to finally switch to a split keyboard, went with the moonlander (price is crazy though) and a trackball, finally my wrist pain is more manageable (warning: thumb trackballs can create a different kind of RSI so be careful with that)

Thank you for posting this, I work in tech and since my company got bought up by a bigger company there is no end to bureaucracy. All our work computers have multiple forms of spyware on them, I have to log in to various services (including redoing 2 factor) multiple times a day, the software we use is slow and barely works, and silliest of all, the crapware randomly blocks certain requests on port 8080 and no one in IT knows how to fix it because it is just a default set of security "best practice" rules, so we have to change ports for development. I feel his comments personally, despite never having to work on a grant proposal (although AFEs I have been told are similar) and relatively having it much easier.

Its heartbreaking reading about the Soviet's plans for orbital solar panels as we do nothing about climate change instead, but I can at least use this info to have conversations with people.

A bunch of layoffs are happening at my company today. One of the people I worked with told me that his wife has been searching for work for months since they moved and hasn't received a single offer, despite doing tons of free labour and 5 interviews.

Tech is so beyond fucked, I have no idea what I would do if I got laid off and I'm not even in America. My dad went through this in 2009 and never recovered, had to declare bankruptcy and we all moved in with my mom's mom for years.

Edit: the Americans are today. Who knows when other countries will have their layoffs at my company.
