Oh that's even cooler than decorative grass! The whole bed looks great, man. The scatter planting will be fun, too! Now I know that I like lupins 😁 thanks!

I'm gonna have to do some splitting and replanting this fall, too. The flowers did much better than expected after just one year - lol

Those look soo delicious! How many plants do you have? That's a good haul!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Fantastic! Those are going to have so many beautiful flowers!

That braided decorative grass is cool - way cooler than the regular grass that comes up in my flowerbeds! 😁

But what is that short purple and white guy between the grasses, almost dead-center? 'Cause it looks nice too, but it's hidden away! Lol

This is what my family (and a few friends) use. We have been using it for a while now because it just works. Also, the kids have never complained about using Conversations, or about using it only for us (like if you have that one family member who won't leave SMS behind - we're that guy, I guess), and we can make as many channels as we need for the house, the kids, with each kid individually, for our MTG cards, with our couple of friends that use it, etc…

I don't personally do the hosting, so I can't speak to that. That's the hubby's thing
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Looks like those scattered seeds are coming up pretty well. The raised bed looks great, too!

It’s always nervous waiting for stuff to come back, it’s like did I kill it with fall care, did winter kill them, etc.

For real! I feel like I messed up my columbine somehow, but I don't know what I did - or didn't do! (Possibly related to dead heading, but I don't know!)

Good to see that it bounced back so well!

Oh, gorgeous! Coming in quite nicely! So many beautiful future-flowers 😍

Wow! That's quite the difference! This looks like it's going to be a great plot. You did an amazing job, and I'm looking forward to seeing the season progress! Don't forget to keep posting occasionally

Don't worry! You got this!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 months ago

Thank you! I'm glad they can be enjoyed by more than just me and the neighborhood deer population!

Thanks! 2 weeks isn't so bad, at least 😁

I never seem to be able to keep my dahlias going, so we didn't get any of those this year 😅

Looking forward to seeing some pics of your flowers when they do come in - also of the raised bed garden!

I'm making a few of these for a friend. They are about 6" long and have some pipe cleaners on the inside to help them keep shape if you give them a little bend!

Bug description

Have tried changing views in my inbox, and app has crashed each time.

Scenario

  1. Go to inbox (mine defaults to All Mentions)(From FAB)
  2. Change to All Messages (Also happens when switching to Unread/All Replies)

Result(s)

App crashes, every time I switch from All Mentions

Device information

Sync version: v23.09.13-09:43
Sync flavor: googlePlay

View type: Compact

Device: bluejay
Model: Google Pixel 6a
Android: 13

Update 1

Seems to happen with the FAB inbox button, but not the Bottom Nav one.

Update 2

Happens from the Drawer inbox button, too.

Is this happening to anybody else?

Is it just an image-size thing? I try to proofread and format, including images. Up until the preview of my most recent post, I had never seen an image in the preview.

Is this a me-thing? An image size thing? Something different that I hadn't thought of? I like it, whatever the reason.

This one works: This one doesn't:

Thanks for any insight!

Thanks! (Thought this seemed an appropriate method, but if there's a better way to let you know, I'm happy to do that instead)

Because in the 100°s during the day and 60°s or 70°s at night really sucks for me. I hope you all are having a "good day" (whatever that means for you - maybe no extra painkillers is a good day)

(No real diagnosis, just hypermobility, chronic back/SI joint/hip pain for the past decade and extreme weather changes hurt like a b!tch)

Thanks for listening/reading.

(I hope they show up properly - no pics in my preview)

Hi guys!

I've been using Ravelry for around a decade now (not so much for the social aspect - which has always been great, when I did participate) and have gotten a few apps over the years to help fill in the gaps - like before the mobile view was useful, I had an app that was a mobile-app-interface for the desktop site, for example.

Yesterday was the first time I'd heard of Ribblr and I think I really like it! It seems to have the databasing of patterns and yarn like Ravelry does, but there's a method of keeping tabs on where you are in the pattern right there on the page. And there's a marketplace. I don't know how much I care about that, but I do have 2 large suitcases of things I've made and still have...

This is not an advertisement or affiliate linking or anything like that - I was just curious if any of you guys had seen it (been around since 2019, I guess. I don't internet much), have any insights on Ribblr - good or bad - or have any other sites that you would recommend people check out.

Thanks!

For example, if I go down the list, visit 1, 2, 3, and 4, when I switch from 1 to 2, 1 is still highlighted. When I switch to 3, 2 is still highlighted. (Not a huge deal, but I love this app and want to give useful feedback and input)

Bottom nav seems to be keeping up and switching as normal. Is it just me? Am I being nit-picky?

Thanks for all your work!

Maybe something for the Pixel phones? I've been using ADW for a long time now, and was wondering what some frequently used launchers are. (I used Cyanogen for a long time, too.)

There are lists all over the internet, but I'm interested in what the Lemmy crowd likes. Thanks!

Edit: Thanks guys - a few of these were on my radar, some I hadn’t heard of or seen in the Play/f-droid lists. Having the reasons why you like each of them helps me figure out what I want from a launcher (for instance, the purchase of Nova by a company known for its data collection is a big turn-off even though it seems loved) - since you guys laid out some pros and cons of a bunch of launchers, it gives me a better picture!

Edit 2: You guys, this is a great resource for figuring out which launchers look like something worth trying (for me), and which ones are in the stores but not what I'm looking for. Without just trying them all, that is... And considering that I hadn't even heard of all of them...

This has been a huge help for me, and I hope some others out there got something out of the post! I should be replying to everyone, but I'm not ... Sorry. But I did read everything and have already started compiling a list in my head, and started tagging and categorizing. And those who included screen shots and links and lists and opinions and FOSS alternatives/forks - they helped! This whole thing helped!
