"Start praying for the souls of the poor Linux atheists and their leader Mr.Torvalds"

How can I test one for lead?

Yeah don't worry, you'll mostly be copying and pasting stuff from the Internet. Not much mental exercise, just follow instructions.

The Arch Wiki is an amazing resource, It contains tons of useful info that isn't specific to only ArchLinux.

It's an underdeveloped country, everything is imported so prices are much higher than what you'd expect. The government is corrupt, there is no free public healthcare or education.

You simply can not sustain a family without having one of your family members in a foreign country as the breadwinner. If you can't go abroad, it's grueling poverty for you, good luck caring for your sick parents or sending your kids to school. Even our nation's leaders send their children abroad for studies/job.

Yeah, the USD equivalent doesn't mean much if your nation actually has something to offer in exchange for your low wages, but that is definetly not the case everywhere.

That's why "Why would anyone ever work over 60 hours?" first seemed like a sarcastic comment to me.

Everywhere isn't europe or america guys

Everyone doesn't live in 1st world countries.

I'm in one of those places where people barely make a living even after pretty much working to death. I am still a student and I have been lucky enough to be born into a more fortunate family. I don't have firsthand experience, so I will give an example.

A good example is my teachers. They have a 6 to 5 job 6 days of the week, and their monthy salary is equivalent to 865USD.

The fact that I can use the internet and tech as much as I want is a blessing

Maybe you forgot to type '/s'?

I had an Aspire One D270 laptop with a 32-bit Intel Atom CPU and 1 gigabyte of RAM, so I installed Debian with Xfce on it, but even then it's running way too slow.

Is there anything I can do to make the laptop faster and more responsive given its limited memory?

Me too, and I'm surprised how I haven't. As a kid I used to pirate stuff from tons of shady websites without any antivirus software on an outdated Windows XP.

What's wrong with lemmyworld?

I have a Redmi Note 11, I am planning to install a custom ROM. This is the first time I'm about to do something like this.

How good of a reputation does the Paranoid Android OS have? Will I get good long term support? How functional is it?

I recently booted up Half-Life 2 to replay it. I have played the absolute shit out of this game before, so 60% of it just feels like a drag to me now. It was such an amazing game but it's sort of spoiled for me after I've played it too much.

I also discovered ULTRAKILL a few months ago. I feel like I could play that game forever. It has tons of content, weapon combinations and higher difficulties with different enemy behaviour.

Do any of you have more game suggestions like Ultrakill? A really replayable singleplayer game.

!!BTW I don't mean online multiplayer games or games similar to candy crush!!

There is no longer an option to use ChatGPT without an ID on chatgpt.com for me. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Do you know of any songs that an average person wouldn't easily find on the internet, but is still worth listening at least once in a lifetime. I highly encourage music that isn't in English.
