How long has it been since you've played? They did an update to the inventory that improved it a good bit. Plus if you're on PC, you can always just edit your save file to make the inventory bigger

Unciv is open source Civ with mod support. Rogue Adventure is a really good card game that I think has a free version, but they've been adding features for years now. It's kinda like Slay the Spire with simpler graphics
