its most definitely the lesser, but there are still many people who would suck off Samsung and Google if they had the opportunity to.

trust me I've met them

Bazzite is my first true experience with an immutable distro, and wow, what a magical moment it was.

I've been eyeing on fedora 40's release for some time now because it fixes all the Wayland problems for Nvidia cards. One night my grandma needed some help, so I walked away from my PC, it automatically suspended, came back 30 or so minutes later, and when I logged in I was just automatically on KDE 6 with fedora 40, didn't even reboot.

This is truly the year of the Linux desktop.

If so, why? and how's your experience been?

the only time I get annoyed or frustrated is when they don't read whatever pop up they get and immediately press "ok" or "continue" and it borks everything

I've seen a lot of posts here on Lemmy, specifically in the "fuck cars" communities as to how Electric Vehicles do pretty much nothing for the Climate, but I continue to see Climate activists everywhere try pushing so, so hard for Electric Vehicles.

Are they actually beneficial to the planet other than limiting exhaust, or is that it? or maybe exhaust is a way bigger problem?

I could argue the same thing about Windows 11.

Can you imagine an average person going into best buy and buying a laptop, maybe in S mode, forced to make a Microsoft account and wait 5-8 minutes updating their machine before they can use it, just for Microsoft edge to pop up asking them to change their accent color. Or downloading a program online and a big old popup comes up saying "Available in the Microsoft Store!"

I personally argue Linux Mint is awesome and what's best for most people. my grandma (81) didnt want to switch to 10 or 11 after Windows 7 was going to be EOL, she tried mint and she absolutely loved it.

Recently a game called "The Finals" has released and after their beta was over they stopped supporting Linux, and a lot of people are clearly pissed and have sparked a ton of debates within their Discord server but I constantly and constantly see an argument brought up by Windows users in the community saying that they dont want Linux support and argue that enabling Linux support is only going to add more cheaters into the game. (as its a pretty big problem right now even though they're using EAC.)

I don't believe it, I haven't seen any proof of it, but I wanted to ask you guys what your thoughts are on it. And, if you have some sort of source proving whether or not this is the case, please do share.

"RobloxPianoAutoplayer" "Anime-Clicker-Simulator-GUI"

also their "Guardian V2" repo

Q: What is Guardian V2?

A: Guardian V2 is a side project of mine. Its purpose is to protect users from game/user-made malicious functions/scripts. It is highly customizeable

jeepers weepers man isn't it so cool to have their anti-cheat so customizeable??

Honestly, the more these one time accounts try to convince me to remove protonmail and simplelogin, the more I see how much it's needed to block them. It's like the marketing team is desperately trying to keep their services from being rightfully flagged and it just makes me want to block them even more. I do hope they won't cloud your judgement @7c , as these services are used for temp emails by all definitions. If you have any questions you may always ask me from the conversation we have started :)

Shit like this is what makes me want to pull my hair out at night
