Thats my friend! He's really like that all the time and is genuinely compassionate and wholesome in every aspect of his life.

He volunteers on a local community radio show each week called The Pedestrian Show where he advocates for better biking infrastructure in the city. He's like actually involved in city council meetings and breaks down the proposed development plans on the radio in simple terms so people can understand what's happening in the city without reading 50 pages of legalese.

Also, he's really good at ping pong haha.

AARON BUSHNELL 1999-2024

"I will be no longer complicit in genocide. I am about to engage in an extreme act of protest, but compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers, it is not extreme at all. This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal. Free Palestine. Free Palestine. Free Palestine."

I always get emotional when I think of Aaron Bushnell. He reminds me of so many of my radical brothers and sisters unable to live with the injustices so many accept as normal.

PS. I tried out the new alt text feature on Jerboa. Let me know if it has any issues!

Alt text: a vintage looking agitprop poster featuring a winking black cat walking on its hind legs and carrying a box of matches on its back. The label on the matches says "L'Éclatante - Revolutionary Matches - All Cats Are Beautiful" and one match is lit with a large flame. The text across the top, sides, and bottom of the poster say "I burn with love for revolution and social justice - Mutual Aid, Self-defense, Public education, Care/Listening - Direct Action, Occupation, Strikes/demos, Sabotage - All against Oppressions"

"I'm speaking" are literally her words in refence to pro-palestinian protesters chanting at one of her rallies like 2 days ago.

Edit: her campaign has at no point expressed a desire (let alone a demand) to end arms shipments and military aid to Israel. Nor has she expressed at any point that she intends to demand an immediate ceasefire if elected.

Edit2: clarification

Palestine Action says its activists early on Tuesday invaded Elbit Systems’ highly secured Bristol research and manufacturing hub, using a prison van to smash through the outer perimeter.

Certainly "ban hostile architecture" is oversimplified in that it leaves room for cities to continue forcing unhoused folks to sleep on the streets, but it has a better ring than "ban hostile architecture and provide stable and safe housing to everyone."

I feel like the later part should be assumed by the fact that leftists have been calling for housing the unhoused for many decades. On the other hand hostile architecture is (to my knowledge) a newer phenomenon that needs to be criticized in it's own right.

This time, the author gives relevance to the concept of the non-binary “otroa” of Zapatismo because it focuses on the other, the external, the discriminated, in order to establish a political definition from that place."

What if I told you the viable alternative wasn't to look further right, but further left?

Thought I'd contribute something other than memes here.

I don't expect there's anything new in this article to most of the people here, but Margaret Killjoy's blog is always a joy to read.

Aren't AI images banned here? There's no meme to this. Its just stolen art.

Yea sometimes I'll exclude the .nfo from my downloads. Thankfully the tracker I'm on now disallows any files that aren't media in their uploads.

Yes as a fan of the manga and anime it is very good. Seems like even people who aren't already fans are liking it too

In this context "liberal" is being used as a synonym for communist, because that's how American right wingers use it, but to a a leftist (socialist, communist, anarchist - the target audience for this meme) liberals, or more accurately neo-liberals, are center right capitalists. So while a right winger might throw all of these as insults at someone left of fascist, a leftist would only take offense to being called a liberal.

Don't equate the struggle for liberation and self-determination with a fascist coup attempt
