Went to the tech sub to see what people were saying. Only funny thing was someone saying to use burner accounts on "this stupid CCP propaganda machine". They're so close, just gotta remove one word.

Also lol, as if burners matter when 1. reddit cares deeply about tracking users between accounts to protect their precious upvotes and 2. you're still feeding the machine.

Bit idea: make a bot that makes new subreddits on these marked accounts so there are no free subreddits left on

Grew up in a pretty standard rightwing house.

Got primed to leftism by losing at least 1 (you could argue 3 or 4 of them) family member to the American healthcare system/insurance. Had others suffer from poor care, high bills, the stupidest doctors, and/or not being able to pick the best options because of high bills. Family functionally shook itself apart over healthcare stress.

Eventually played frickin Victoria 2, which taught me some basic political literacy. IE: Liberals are more with what I identified with at the time, not "conservative". Also started realizing that socialists were the good guys. From there, it was a slow road to now, where I believe Stalin shouldn't have stopped at Berlin. Mostly a lot of little things, becoming more and more dissatisfied with liberals being unable/unwilling to enact any of their stated goals, agreeing more with socialist politics, being blamed for 2016 despite voting for Hilldog in a swing state (that she still lost), etc.

To be fair, networking is hellish for a variety of reasons.

I took 1 networking (IT midtier elective) class in college as an elective and even though it was super basic in reality, it was very annoying in that nothing felt automatic, even though 99.9% of everything felt like there should be. Usually if that's the case I'd learn/be told there was some automatic stuff (Take a compiler class -> learn of YACC and they you never write your own compiler). But networking? Not really as far as I've ever seen. Sure there's some stuff, but it always seems to come around to "This works except when you need to know the exact details of https once a year".

Ironically I'm on the interconnect team at my current work. Even though we rely on shit, we avoid touching 90% of the stuff we own that actually does the connecting, and avoid setting up crap because its a mess.
