@[email protected] Just because most consensus answer is at the top doesn't mean it is true, only that the search engine recommended it. Ideally, a search engine will show you in order most relevant to least relevant. That is what a search engine is for and what it should do. If I search for something I should have a reasonable expectation that the content was ranked by some objective standard rather than a flimsy algorithm or human reviewer. I also have a reasonable expectation to not have porn and malware advertised to me, but Google doesn't get the message.

@[email protected] Just because the search engine indexes it doesn't mean it is true. It is the same for AI systems.
@[email protected] It depends, on one hand the ability to summarize multiple searh results is a neat feature that saves time, but on the other hand SEO spam has gotten worse.

My first computer I had to myself was a amazon kindle fire tablet because that is what my parents got me as an elementary school graduation present. My family still has it in the closet somewhere. My current computer is a Lenovo c940 and I am looking to upgrade as soon as System76 or Framework get their shit together and start offering an Intel Core Ultra 9 288V option.
@[email protected] Remember that most of the over 8,000 cryptocurrencies in existence are scams, and of those that have real world use cases they are not as private, anonymous, secure or decentralized as their advocates and the popular press regard them as. Goldbacks are vastly superior to bitcoins as an alternative currency. If you still want to buy some bitcoin I would strongly suggest buying gold bars or goldbacks instead. https://www.goldback.com/where-to-buy-goldbacks
@[email protected] The world needs more fossil fuels, not less. When most of the world lives paycheck to paycheck on poverty wages caused by lack of energy, food and water they cannot afford to care about the planet. When the majority of people can afford to care about the planet because they have secured their supply of energy, food and water the earth will be nicer for all.
@[email protected] The problem with stop and frisk is the criteria for who looks suspicious is entirely subjective and in the moment. What needs to happen is to draw up some objective criteria for what a suspicious behavior looks like and the officer should be trained on the protocol.
@sabreW4K3 All of them. Betterbird has bugfixes that Thunderbird doesn't have. Including working with the system tray. Waterfox has more customizibility than firefox and those settings should make their way into firefox.
@[email protected] If only Mozilla spent their billion dollars in assets actually developing Firefox and Thunderbird instead of AI and political advocacy. In the field of politics, persuing technological advancement first can do a lot more than asking permission later.
