What S_H_K said, people have reported being rebuked for posting pictures without ALT-text and not CW-ing uncommon things like eye-contact or food, for example. One person notably received angry messages for posting about cutting their finger on a sheet of paper without CW. The worst accounts were of POC talking about racism they experienced and being told to put it under CW.

We've had this exact conversation in this community two months ago already, in case you want to back read the comments from back then. Nothing significant has changed

To paraphrase my opinion from back then:

  • Easier onboarding, and a familiar, easier UX
  • customizable feeds you can subscribe to + starterpacks instantly give you full timelines and people to follow (and followers, if you're in many starter packs)
  • better discoverability, and therefore higher engagement
  • stacking moderation and excellent security features (e.g. detachable quote boosts, "the nuclear block")
  • many users who tried Mastodon first had bad experiences with "HOA"-like behavior and over-enthusiastic mods

Seconding this! Honestly the aggressive anti-religious attitude that seems to be popular on Fedi and (and big subreddits as well) annoys me to no end, and it always has an air of wanting to feel superior about it.

Spirituality can be a good, helpful, thing that anyone should be allowed to practice. It doesn't help that people always seem to equate religion itself with big institutions or particularly bigoted sub-groups.

I don't know if this incoherent rant makes any sense, anyway you're valid and I support you!

I passively collect GC seals by running normal roulettes and rolling on all of the gear tokens to exchange them and turn the gear in at my GC through expert deliveries. You could unsync the highest level normal raid you can clear to collect tokens for that method?

No, @[email protected] was correct, the post originally had a typo in it, which I fixed after I got corrected through an earlier comment, but the replies don't seem to federate properly 😅 Also yes, Taittsu seems to be an intentional pun on Twitter

Hi, welcome! I decided to create this as a "Ren'Py and visual novel development" community, so topics related to Ren'Py and vn-development in general are allowed. I didn't expect there to be enough engagement to justify a separate "VNDev" community in the beginning. I also have only used Ren'Py myself, so I couldn't offer support with e.g questions related to other engines. 😅

If there's actually enough interest in vn-dev with other engines, then I could make a general vn-dev community, I suppose? But thank you for your question, I might add a clarification to the rules.

[email protected] is slowly growing and currently at 71 subscribers 🎉 I've started promoting it a little bit on Mastodon and Bluesky as well

  • Tumblr - my first real main social media platform, mainly fandom stuff, used to post fanart there as well, I've been on that hellsite for half of my life now and will probably stay there until Automattic pulls the plug
  • Mastodon - My main Twitter replacement, really good for fandom since it's easy to talk about spoilers with custom CWs
  • Bluesky - Second Twitter replacement
  • Lemmy - As reddit replacement with less lazy engagement bait posts (this is really a problem on reddit especially in game-(dev) subreddits
  • Discord - for Gaming-buddies, fandom communities, and gamedev communities

The original cancellation of this vn was back in 2015, btw
