Is temporary posts the feature you're looking for?
One weakness of open platforms like activitypub is that it's hard to ensure that your post is deleted. A bad actor can make a permanent copy of data they receive through activitypub.
Pixelfed has a "stories" feature. It's only on the website version (no apps) and it's labeled as "beta".
What features of Snapchat are you looking for?
There's PixelFed but that's more analogous to Instagram, but it's core feature is image sharing which is what Snapchat primarily is for.
