Because Lammy is a racist that denies the existence of civilization outside the West.
Despite their efforts Israel did not manage to kill all journalists in Gaza yet.
Lammys claims came to say the UK couldnt know who is behind the looting of aid in Gaza, while the UN, Journalists and governments without Israels lobbies up their butt managed to identify the perpetraitors as gangs backed by Israels military. The IDF even acknowledged some of the gangs they support to have connections to ISIS in internal papers that got revealed.
Lammy, mate you were saying right things... And then you got into a position of power... What happened 😔

I've heard it in context. He's saying that it's difficult to get a clear picture of what is happening on the ground in Gaza. There's nothing controversial about that.
He is denying the existence of journalists in Gaza, because he does not want to acknowledge their, nor the testimony of hundreds of humanitarian aid workers who managed to survive Israels onslaught and also testified. For instance dozens of doctorrs testifying about gunshot wounds on children that look like targeted executions of these children.
And again he didnt say there is difficulty getting information. He said their would be no journalists. So he is denying the journalists in Gaza, who risk their lifes and get murdered by the UK supported IDF, because then he would have to acknowledge what his government is supporting.
I think he'd have been better to say "journalists have been actively targeted in Gaza" or "The story from inside Gaza is not being heard".
He's not saying "Palestinians can't be journalists".
Deliberate misunderstanding of his words to manufacture outrage. Pointless.
Click through two links and there’s a video clip of him saying just that, with a smug smile flickering across his face, instead of an ashen expression one might expect if Lammy actually wanted to understand the context of why there are “no journalists” left in Gaza.
While Hansard doesn’t publish everything in text online, if you cared to look beyond dismissing a headline you don’t like, there’s transcripts from the chamber on the 26th, though Lammy is not credited/recorded.
Can you interpret for us in that case? Because this seems pretty ignorant from what I understand.
