It is a sad time every time someone, anyone, takes anything from 4Chan seriously

when I started browsing \b\ I thought that they were nazis only for the lulz. Right now Im not sure if I was wrong.

[–] [email protected] 34 points 1 year ago (1 children)

But why is it always nazis? Nobody jokingly organizes a movement to eat the landlords that actually causes some landlords to get eaten, but the same cannot be said about "jokingly" organizing a hate mob that actually hurts people.

I think people joked about taboo subjects then actual Nazis didn't get the joke and called it home.

Maybe less "didn't get the joke" and more "started saying nazi stuff while pretending it's still jokes"

This makes sense to me.

I'm pretty sure bronies have the same origin story.

Also a product of someone taking 4Chan seriously. There used to be a saying every time 4Chan was mention back in the day. Something like if you have a community where you pretend to be fools, an actual fools would think they've found their company.

What year did you start browsing?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Around 2010 maybe.

I kinda hope this one is real though.

Pretty sure it's just more trolling, what better way to make people mad than to tell them their excuses for social failure are fabricated?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

It could still be a real story, even if OP is winding them up.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

The thing is they are fabricated.

Anon learns the hard way that normies pretend to be friendly to harvest his organs

ITT: weeb touches grass and realises how green and soft it is.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

It's not even touching grass, it's just not using 4chan as the basis of your entire world view that would do the trick.

[–] [email protected] 78 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You think somebody would do that?

Just go on the internet and tell lies?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Absolutely. Trust no one on the internet

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Ah ha.

That means I should trust everyone on the internet
