Even if this gets overturned eventually, the goal is to throw sand in the gears for this election.

We live in some stupid times, and if Democrats get majorities in Congress, I hope they don't forget this time when the GOP cashed in on authoritarianism.

This is why we so desperately need the voting rights act back. It used to be that changes like this required pre clearance before taking effect, and any challenges be worked out before hand.

Another terrible supreme court decision courtesy conservatives/Republicans who don't respect the right to vote.

There's a lot at stake in this election. I hope we can manage not just to survive but lay the foundation to thrive.

The entire conservative belief system is centered around privilege and against democracy (and this country's values), so, no, they don't value voting.

Something tells me all the hexbear and .ml users are cranking their tiny hogs over this.

They love fascist election interference, especially when it assists their orange-comrade.

Floridaman here. Think on this a moment: Why would the state care who is helping voters to register? This is a democracy, the more voters the better, right?

Why can't our useless media nail these people?!

"This bill makes it harder for out-of-state organizations to assist with voter registration. What is the aim of this legislation?"

"Florida does not need outside groups influencing our elections!"

"Again, these groups are merely registering voters. They can't possibly force them to vote any particular way. Is it the view of the Florida Congress that fewer voters is a net positive? If so, why?"

Is the FL Congress Republican? I think it's typically the case that low voter turnout tends to help the qons.

Can we fully stop federal funding from going to that shit-hole state?

Is "deathblow" quoted to show the needless word joining is the choice of some other idiot?
