The funniest thing about this is that they can't book events in battle ground states because Trump hasn't paid any of the venues from the last time he had a rally there. There's only so many places near people that can host a few thousand people and Trump has stiffed them all. (งツ)ว sucks to suck

[–] [email protected] 35 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That's delicious. Do you have a source on that so I can share with friends also enjoying the dumpster fire's warmth?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago

It was reported on by CNN back in 2019. ^[1] According to KFOX14 ^[2] the list has increased - with many of the cities from the CNN report still on the list. NBCMontana reported^[3] after his latest rally that many invoices from past Trump Montana rallies are still unpaid. El Paso, Texas is still trying to get Trump to pay his over $500,000 bill.^[4]

I haven't found any official confirmation of the Trump campaign struggling to schedule rallies over unpaid expenses, but it wouldn't surprise me. Trump has always been stiffing people, going back to his years as "businessman".

Please, let there be reliable sources because it would be really funny

So Trump doesn't burn bridges, he carpet bombs them.

How long will it take Trump to realize that he's not trading up when he fires people anymore?

[–] [email protected] 23 points 2 months ago

I hope he never has that realization.

People were saying the current campaign managers were geniuses for keeping Trump out of the headlines while the democrats were having a "meltdown" trying to get Biden to step aside, but given his public appearances (or lack thereof) since then, I'm wondering if it was done out of necessity for Trump's own health.

There is a piece of this that is beyond their control when dealing with the secret service. Since the assassination attempt, the secret service has denied the kinds of open field and outdoor events that Trump thrives on.

I don’t think that explains all of it, but there are factors other than scheduling and staff work.

That doesn't seem like the type of thing where hard evidence would be publically available, honestly.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago

Actually if you see my other comment, there have been several articles written about it. Tldr; Secret Service can request no more outdoor events but they can’t “deny” the campaign the ability to hold them, and the campaign has vowed to continue to do them.

The recent Harris rallies have mostly been outdoors.

How long until the managers realize they ain’t getting paid?

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 months ago

Speaking as someone who despises Trump, I am absolutely delighted with his campaign managers, and how the last few weeks have gone. I hope he sticks with them until the bitter end.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Oh, I know! Let Eric and Jr fight it out with knives to see who gets the honor of leading dad's campaign!

He can make it pay per view and make like 5 bucks or something.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

Sorry, only have about tree-fiddy.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

I've got five bucks.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 months ago

I'm not saying his current campaign managers are good, but a big problem is and always has been Trump actually listening to them.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 months ago (2 children)

“I’m not firing my campaign managers, they’re the greatest campaign managers. There’s never been any better. I have men come up to me, big strong men, marines, who tell me with tears in their eyes that they’ve never seen a better run campaign. It’s Harris whose campaign is floundering. I mean, did you see the fake crowd by the plane? I’m telling you, it’s all AI. Hannibal Lector would have a better crowd than her. Have you heard of Hannibal Lector? Great guy, great guy. Harris is floundering and Biden is sorry now because she’s doing so badly. Sleepy Joe, he’s going to show up at the convention and reclaim his spot because he thinks he can beat me, but he can’t. He can’t beat me. He couldn’t beat Hannibal Lector. Great guy.”

Quiz - is this an actual quote, or did I make it up?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

Somewhat coherent and no more than one tangent deep? Clearly fake

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

I don't think he could stitch together nearly every Trump meme in a single word salad.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago

NO ONE. Works for trump and doesn’t get shit on.

No Exceptions.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Do it. I want to see how fast he hits the bottom without someone to cover for his bullshit.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

Russia will throw unlimited patsies, honey traps, and straight criminals in front of Trump before they let Putin's golden goose be butchered. He literally has the FSB looking out for him, funneling him money, intelligence, opposition research, and publicity. He won't run out of cover.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Never. He needs to keep them around.

Who do you think are going to be the fall guys he's going to blame when he loses? He certainly isn't going to take the blame himself, you know.....

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That’s what vance is for

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

Are you kidding? Have you not been paying attention? One person isn't enough. When Trump fails, which is all the fucking time, he demands a mass sacrifice.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

After they lose hopefully.
