Unfortunately, I am not allowed to carry my sword in public in my country.

Yeah me too, that clearly explains our "success" with women

Well, my success is more tied to being aroace and not knowing for a long time. But, the sword would have made things easier.

Are you the guy with the tiny master sword in the UK that was recently in the news?

Nah, that guy is rotting in jail right now

i genuinely can't tell if she's being sarcastic or not. if she is: good acting. if not, good luck with the hordes of neckbeards trying to do the sword chin thing and ending up being the most awkward cringefest ever

It doesn't read sarcastic to me; the joke is more presenting a fantasy as though it were practical dating advice.

People want romance. To live the dream fantasy. Both women and men want to feel secure and swoon, each in their own way.

She uses a sword metaphorically and visually, but you don’t need a sword. (Really, don’t)

Think of the movie classics, like Casablanca: Bogart does the same "trick" she describes when he says "Here’s looking at you, kid".

The idea and ideal of a dream romance will vary from person to person, and one of the things, is finding the right person for you, who shares the same romance ideals.

I'm pretty sure it's a joke about how men always do this to women in movies.
