Brett Favre (Former NFL QB) was part of the theft. He stole $1.1 million from Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program to build a volleyball court. Everyone that stole money deserves jail time.

He stole more than that. From the linked article:
They included a volleyball facility that cost more than $5 million at the University of Southern Mississippi, a project championed by former NFL football star Brett Favre, whose daughter happened to be on the volleyball team there.
Favre, who has not been charged, also received $1.1 million for purported promotional efforts. And a drug company in which he owned stock, Prevacus, received $2.1 million, according to public records. Favre lobbied the governor to help secure the money, according to text messages obtained by Mississippi Today.
“It’s 3rd and long and we need you to make it happen!!” Favre texted Bryant on Dec. 26, 2018. Bryant replied, “I will open a hole.”
That's $8.2 million by my reckoning.
He has to know he sounds stupid when he says "it's 3rd and long" no matter what job you used to have, unless you're coaching little league it makes no sense. Also what is the difference between lobbying and just texting someone? I always imagined lobbying as how the stock exchange is depicted in movies, with people yelling and gesturing wildly.
The real welfare king
I've said it hundreds of times before and I'll say it again: Mississippi is the worst state.
It isn't in the (inter)national news for being awful as much as Florida and Texas, but that's because those are rich "Hollywood Awful" states.
Mississippi is more of a destitute "1970s village in a swamp governed by the most racist and corrupt ogres ever" kind of awful.
There's a saying in the south: "Thank God for Mississippi"
Because as shitty as Southern States are, Mississippi is always there to be worse.
SNL has all the debates except the one with clinton vs bush snr and perot where they say some stuff about arkansas and I swear he makes a comment about them being better than mississippi.
Louisiana likes to give them a run for their money occasionally. Both of those states have areas that are like third world countries, and the average education level is lolcow low.
Oof, I dunno. Alabama though.
The unofficial motto of Alabama is "thank God for Mississippi" because in most statistics Mississippi is the only thing keeping Alabama from being at the bottom with regards to anything positive and at the top with regards to anything negative 😄
Mississippi is the anus of the USA
Revolting.
Is exactly what the American people should be doing
That's precisely what we should be doing
goverment and regulations my ass so long as the people in high up positions in the government generally have the same disgusting mind set as some of the sociopathic CEOs in big companies.
Why of course they would.
Assange, anyone?
She didn't leak the info to be slow dripped to influence the election for Russia's puppet. Not sure I see the comparison
