What did happen to reddit though? Everything seems to continue as it always has. I was using Joey for Reddit to browse it, ant that still works as far as I know

Why is kbin never included in these breakdowns? Is it not "formally" considered lemmy or something of that sort?

Kbin is different software that accesses the same infrastructure. Kbin prime can interact with Lemmy, but Lemmy people can't interact with kbin (yet).

And to think you thought you needed a John Oliver AMA. John Oliver don't have anything on me.

Nice achievement! Needless to say, the user base needs to grow further to compete with other social media

I think it would be great if we have numbers that are increasing slow and steadily, giving this whole ecosystem time to work out the kinks. While I dream of one day everyone being a part of the fediverse, I'm getting a good count and quality of discussions right now.

Now I want to know how many of this population did not use a 3rd-Party reddit app.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Increased population in lemmy.world is attributable to Redditisfun directly linking to this instance with its dying notification. Other instances may have vastly different compositions as a result.
