forget the paycheck

I would like more money
No, that's too much.
Bosses, have you considered not being dicks to your employees?
Man they must think I'm the April Fool if they think I'm gonna fall for that lazy propaganda
For instance, getting real and relevant feedback falls under the umbrella of emotional salary.
Oh cool, so instead of paying the writer here's some real feedback: The article would have been vastly improved if everything after the first comma was deleted.
So we're good, right?
I demand an emotional salary by being able to decapitate the CEO. This is very important for my mental wellbeing
i remember at one job that was really burning me out through frustration, i was able to negotiate a promotion that came with a 40% salary increase to do what i had already been doing.
i was way less frustrated when those checks started rolling in and felt far more bought-in.
of course, i am certain there's some upper limit on how they could pay me to do work that was frustrating in a dysfunctional organization... but i for one am willing to explore my capacity and find that limit! and when we do get to the point where i say, "more money in my pocket won't make me stay", then we can start looking at the pizza parties, awards/recognition, the team building exercises, the listening sessions, mission statements, and values-based organizational planning.
No MF, I want my actual paycheck AND a cost of living raise.
