Hello,

I was trying to create a Lemmy community and keep getting the error ‘please match the requested format’ yet there is no example of what the correct format is. Google didn’t help much either. Is someone able to help me with the correct format please?

The community has to be in lower case and no spaces ex: examplecommunityhere. You also might want to make sure that name isn't already taken.

to add on, lemmy.world is one of the largest lemmy instances and due to the influx of users is seeing higher than usual user load and all that is associated with that. That may be another cause of troubles with creating a community at the moment.

Possibly included some too advanced characters in the "Name" field?

I’ve tried several formats:

xxxxxx (all lower case, no spaces or special characters) [email protected] [email protected]
