Got my daughter's birthday party. Finally. Can't wait for it to be over but I think she's going to have a good time and I'm told that's what it's all about.

You seem to be a great dad!

Looks to be a dreadful weekend with rain all through it.

Good reason to stay indoors and play video games

I just picked up Sixty-Four and I'm enjoying it.

Borderlands 3 at the moment. But when the wife has time we play some Stardew Valley together.

A new update for Stardew is dropping soon too.

BBQ with the neighbours tomorrow, visiting the in-laws on Sunday. My wife will stay for a couple days, they have some get together in their hometown on Tuesday, but (un)fortunately I can't attend due to a work commitment (that has genuinely been scheduled for a solid 4 months, so the lady ain't even mad).

[-] [email protected] 8 points 6 months ago

Well done with the work scheduling my man

[-] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

Haha, thanks :-D

My first date in years.

If it happens I mean.

Going to watch Dune 2 at the cinema

Is it Dune 2 (that is, Dune Messiah) or is it Part Two of the first Dune?

[-] [email protected] 7 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

It's part two of the first novel.

I think they are hoping to cover Dune Messiah's material in a third movie.

I started spring cleaning this week, so I'm finishing up this weekend. I have way too many clothes that don't fit anymore and will be donating all of them, then buying new clothes that actually fit me and make me feel good.

Going to a winery for music, food trucks, and you guessed it...Germans!?

[-] [email protected] 8 points 6 months ago

Who the hell eats germans out of a food truck?

[-] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago

I'm planning to take one of my kids to the movie theater for his very first time. I feel like he's finally old enough to sit through an entire movie. Though he's a loud talker, so I'll have to emphasize the etiquette of no talking during movies.

[-] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago

Usual weekend grind. Shopping, cleaning, chauffeuring kids to this activity and that. I might do the food shopping today when shit is more chill and save myself the hassle tomorrow. I guess it’s also time to put down the pre-emergent, maybe I’ll spend some time ripping out the hairy bittercress before I do that. Always a lot of shit to do.

[-] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago

Still at work. I'm currently in a hotel room wrapping up paperwork while others are doing their remote test on this system I built. Unless something severly stupid happens I'll be on an airplane on my way home tomorrow.

[-] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago

Inconviently located chores for most of tomorrow, then a big family thing for my gran's birthday on Sunday. Honestly not sure which day I'm looking forward to the least. Hoping to find room for some crafts and some videomaking at...some point in there somewhere? 🤷‍♀️

Three hours of broadcasting easy listening music on community radio from home while eating breakfast.

[-] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago

You spend three hours eating breakfast?

I might attend the St. Patrick's Day parade.

[-] [email protected] 4 points 6 months ago

Fixing, cleaning, organizing, getting all my warm season outdoor equipment and toys ready to have some fun.

[-] [email protected] 4 points 6 months ago

Travel soccer tournament all weekend. Much easier than travel baseball that my other kid did!

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

Good luck to you and your kid's team!

[-] [email protected] 4 points 6 months ago

An old friend is coming to town. Gonna get together with more of our buddies. Should be fun. My wife is doing a long bicycle ride preparing for a competition in a few weeks.

Complete schindlers list finally been trying for over a week .

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

I plan to be unproductive for once.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

Student conferences at my kids' school today, then some carpentry with the rest of my "day off". Then I'll be at my job all weekend in the mornings, probably play Spelunky with my kids in the evenings — we can consistently get to the Temple now, even the kindergartener.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

I finished my first Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign as DM two weeks ago. I will get to be a player while one of my friends takes over for the next module.

Other than that, nothing - we have 30mph winds and 65mph gusts so I plan to stay home as much as possible.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

how was it? we're starting a DCC campaign soon!

[-] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago

The system feels very different compared to D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder. We skipped the first level where you have three characters you’re trying to keep alive, and started with just one character. Our players are level four now.

I kind of like the spell system because it gives a lot more variety than works/doesn’t work.

I have this steel folding chair that I like to set up in front of my door. I usually wait there patiently for Monday morning.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

Heard some commotion downstairs!

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

Off to see the All-England Badminton Championships tonight. Then football and rugby on TV tomorrow.

Very sporty weekend!

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

3 out of 4 kids are away for the weekend. So I will mostly be chilling with my wife and remaining child. There is also, of course, Super Saturday in this year's Six Nations rugby championship tomorrow. That'll be a good day.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

Life always finds a way to fuck up everything so I am very sad lol, nothing really, just sit around or sleep all day probably

[-] [email protected] 4 points 6 months ago

Sometimes just sitting around and sleeping all day is what makes life turn around

[-] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago
[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

Rot in bed or In worst case complete my projects.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

Lots of homework. I got a lot of it done Friday night and Saturday morning, including a midterm exam for an online class, then napped for 2 hours, and now I'm going to play video games. Sunday it will be more work -- debate prep for a class on Thursday.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

This weekend, I can actually sleep!! 💪
