Nothing new for that section. Part of the retaining walls have failed and leak water through when the river is high, pumps never keep up and turn off, and the council will continue not to do anything. The detour along the road next to it has been blocked off by wgtp for a while now, the second detour over the bridge over the railway line is blocked. It’s all a bit of a joke.

Can you tell that I commonly come across this spot flooded and am becoming crankier with age?
I always wondered whether those sections of the path ever flooded when the water level was higher!
Yeah, they do flood in the rain, but normally the sump pumps work well enough that the worst you'll suffer is having to wade ankle-deep. Without the sump pumps, it's impassable.
