Tv is mounted too low. Get a few milk crates and put that bad boy at eye level so you don't strain your neck.

[–] [email protected] 45 points 9 months ago

Fuck that, just get rid of the chair and sit on the floor.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 9 months ago

Or if he wants to get fancy, get a mini-fridge to put the TV on. Then he also has somewhere to put the beer.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 9 months ago

I was thinking he could splurge on a folding table for a little extra utility.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago

Just pile up some old pizza boxes for a stand.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago

Maybe he sit on the chair head down.

Beer should be closer to the chair when TV is in use

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago

Seconded. Beer within reach of chair

[–] [email protected] 40 points 9 months ago

I am not a man but the chair is unnecessary and possible health hazard to your neck as you’ll be looking down to stare at tv. I suggest getting an air mattress instead.

[–] [email protected] 37 points 9 months ago

My rating is: neck pain.

[–] [email protected] 29 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Only picture in the world /r/tvtoohigh would have nothing to complain about.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 months ago (1 children)

If he's committed to the chair, it's going to be rolling around with the slightest movement when it's just on a wooden floor like that. He should put a tasteful towel underneath it to add some friction.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 9 months ago

Given the context, you probably meant "tasteful towel" quite literally, but I enjoy the thought of referring to all carpets as tasteful towels. 🙃

If you get a mini fridge you can put the TV on top thus solving the neck strain issue. It will also allow you to keep refreshments close and cold, thus solving the beer problem. No need to thank me.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 9 months ago (1 children)

3/10

TV needs to be higher and beer needs to be colder. While I disagree with your choice of beer, I didn't deduct for it.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago (3 children)

What kind of beer would you put there?

Agreed on the TV height.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago

At least gotta give the local brewery a chance

Just get yourself a $20 folding table and you're all set

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago

I'm going to pretend to be offended by the choice of beer, but hey, nobody's gonna force me to drink Blue Moon.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 9 months ago

Okay seriously what the fuck are even you thinking bro? How can you live like this?

...you gotta put a rug or something under those casters or you're gonna slide down the block every time you try to sit down.

9.4/10

[–] [email protected] 9 points 9 months ago (1 children)

A TV mount can be bought for less than that case of beer.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 months ago

It says they moved in today. I'm guessing the place they got the beer from was closer and or easier to resolve. Maybe next week they'll get around to it haha

[–] [email protected] 9 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Oh man, I forgot about those days. When I got my first apartment it was a real wakeup call for how many things I had always taken for granted. Even just little things that you never had to think about before. Clothes hangers, clothing irons, wash cloths, spoons! All of those have to be purchased. I made a TV stand out of cinder blocks and a board, and then I realized I didn't even have a TV. I bought a cat piss couch for $35 and rented a rug doctor to clean it. I found a dining room table and chairs in an alley and carried them 2 blocks home and washed them off with the hose outside. I had no electronic entertainment, and this was before smart phones, so I would sit at my table that I found in the alley, drink beer, and solve a 1000 piece puzzle. It didn't really matter much, because I was all about socializing and partying back then. I rarely spent time at home alone. Those first few adult years are pretty cool, in a desperate and inventive sort of way.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 9 months ago

That angle is gonna hurt your neck. Just get a beanbag chair

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 months ago

8/10 TV should be bigger

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 months ago

chair too high for eye level, sit on floor.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 9 months ago

I'd put the TV on the mantle, other than that 8/10.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 9 months ago

well.... now this is.... podracing?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I would put the TV on the fireplace, other than that it's perfect

[–] [email protected] 6 points 9 months ago

Is this is sarcasm

Or are you paid by Big Chiropractor^TM

[–] [email protected] 7 points 9 months ago

Needs something stacked under the TV to avoid neck pain. Otherwise all is good, and I approve of the case of Belgian Moon specifically

[–] [email protected] 6 points 9 months ago

Tilt the screen up then it's not bad. I do r8 the Mario Kart 8, gr8 choice m8.

Belgian/Blue Moon is OK, you can't really win with American beer brands, but I'd think the occasion would call for something more special, a local craft or import.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 9 months ago

High life? Nah, go low-life/high-tech instead and replace both the screen and your chair with VR glasses. Saves a lot on apartment maintenance too!

[–] [email protected] 6 points 9 months ago

Most divorced Dad Vibes

[–] [email protected] 6 points 9 months ago

Needs a few more blue moon cases to prop the TV up. Otherwise 8/10

[–] [email protected] 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Barter the chair for a cooler, sit on cooler, receive cold beers.

Put the TV where the chair is, and sit with your back against the wall

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Great start!
I would put the monitor on a box, so you can lean back in the chair and put your feet up

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago

Dont listen to the haters. If its good enough for you, its good enough

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago
[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago

I make 50L of Blue Moon for $170 Cad, store bought shit is hella overpriced

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago

Assuming there is TP where it should be, perfection:-).

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago

Not so good, the rest of the computer is missing, sorry.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 9 months ago

A rare tvtoolow 6/10 cool chair

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago

Screen should be on chair to avoid neckpain. Sit on the floor

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago

The choice of beer is a little bit bow de bow de dag de dag dag, TV's not bad for yoru first rig, Mario Kart is a good move; there's a whole genre of chicks who have "I'll beat you in Mario Kart" on their dating profiles. Need some milk crates to go under that TV before your chin welds to your chest. Otherwise carry on citizen.
