I extremely specifically remember going to taco bell the day guild wars 2 came out and they still had the pink+blue swivel chairs

My guess has always been that Taco Bell's logo and interior were meant to be visually distinct from all the other fast food at the time. McDonald's and Burger King back then had very brown/yellow interiors. And nearly all fast food back then had a yellow or red sign next to a highway. Then here's the big purple taco bell sign.
