This is actually a line of succession thing, the Sith changed their Rule of Two system after that whole Death Star 2.0 fiasco. Too much of a liability for the Empire if they’re all in one place.

IT'S IN THE FUCKING MUSIC, FOLKS! Darth Jar Jar is real.
I whole-heartedly believe that it was real, planned by Lucas, and then the backlash for Jar Jar in Ep 1 made him second-guess it and change the story.
I also believe that if he had stuck to his guns, he could have redeemed that character. A dark Yoda mirror is such a great concept for the prequels.
That doesn't make any sense. If he takes off his glasses, then how could he see?
