Jesus Christ, that sounds like the John Wick of dogs

RCS is just a standard, much like how SMS is just a standard. Google's Messaging app is just one implementation of it, though it probably is the most popular in the US it is not the only one, nor is Google able to decide who cannot use it. Carriers typically have their own, though you may have recently heard that T-Mobile decided to switch over to Google's.

I don't have any advice but I need to point out how hilarious that title is out of context

Pyenv! Let the OS have its own version and work on whatever version you want, whenever.

Just wanted to take a second to thank @chase_[email protected] for taking on moderating this community and for actively creating discussions. It's something I miss about reddit, and am a bit sad isn't more of a thing on Lemmy (yet), so I appreciate you taking the initiative and making a space where it can happen.

I know it's not the same without lots of active members and discussion (TBH I'm half tempted to start watching Invasion just to join in), but we have to start somewhere!

Spoilers below!

Is there supposed to be a scene between Mystra and Gale? I thought we'd at least see him give her the crown (or not) to conclude his quest. Did I miss something or was it just settled offscreen?

The ending felt a bit abrupt and I would have loved to see some more scenes than the scene on the shores + one scene with Shadowheart (who my Tav romanced) that felt like a rehashed conversation we already had.

I thought it was a post-Vader Anakin. His lesson to Ahsoka, in my eyes, was that his life, her life, as soldiers led them to a "fight or die" mentality, though maybe "kill or die" is a better way to put it. That's what drove him to the dark side. Only by the end of his life, as he learns from Luke, there is another option.

"You're never too old to learn" isn't just in reference to Ahsoka's age, but in reference to this last lesson he learns from his son, that he now passes onto her.

Viewing a user profile should have the option to see "posts/comments" together, and should default to it, just like Sync for Reddit. Thanks for all your hard work!

As it turns out, stress actually increases if people have to trade their savings for mental health services

Probably an unpopular opinion on here, but the OS I recommend for grandparents and parents is ChromeOS. It's so locked down that it's almost indestructible, and they almost never need any specialized software that you'd use Windows/MacOS for. If you're savvy enough you can also use Linux on it in a container, which is how I prefer to use it for day to day stuff (in my case, data related workflows).

It's such a little thing, but linking directly to a system setting is so cool to me. For those wondering how to do it, you can long press on a setting and it'll copy the link into your clipboard, already formatted to easily paste somewhere.

You're contributing too! Memes, posts, comments, are all vital for Lemmy. Without it there is no community to interact with via the instances/apps.

Personally, I love the UI/UX of it and how customizable it is. For me, it's unparalleled, and I'm happy to pay for it to support the independent developer behind it. But I get that not everyone cares about it and would rather use a different option, and it's cool that there are so many different options to interact with the fediverse.

Not defending tracking or anything, but you do not get trackers if you pay. This tracker is just for ads, which you don't get if you pay.
