that movie was so trite I feel angry
'Knowing' is so dumb, I forgot I had seen it until I saw this post. Stupidest plot ever, but some of the effects were neat, I guess. Waste of time.
Both of your alternatives are better in every way.
TIL it was filmed in Melbourne and Docklands studio ( and some CGI ) still sucked
