Why is it that I feel, even if had no other impact on my work productivity; my employer would fire me if I were arrested and spent a few days in jail for DUI

or am I just being silly?

It's Minnesota, getting a DUI is practically a rite of passage. Also, the C-suite looks out for its own.

I worked for a company owner that wouldn't hire you if you had a DUI and would check yearly, firing you if you had one. This included everyone.
